Realistic Canning - No Lids

Description
A very simple mod that adds alternative canning recipes that remove sugar/vinegar as an ingredient.

These two ingredients are completely unnecessary for home canning, and are actually used for pickling, not canning.

This version also removes the requirement for a lid, as they should be reusable in an emergency.

Alongside the vanilla "Make jar of..." recipes, you will now see "Can jar of...", which is my modded version. Both recipes will create the vanilla "Jar of....", which must be cooked in a heat source to preserve it's freshness.

I'm playing 41.77 and I have the mod enabled but I the game is still requiring vinegar and lids. Am I doing something wrong?

Milk Pulp... if you think it's an exploit, Then don't sit there and do mag drills with a jar of water...

Generally though you'd also need a pressure canner, but this mod is already way better than vanilla as-is

i could use this for long term, since sometimes generators are an ass to get going and vanilla pickling is just hard with the sparseness of lids

Could you please remove the cooking xp gain from canning? It just seems exploitive since you can keep filling and emptying jars for xp. That just feels a little too easy when all you need is water.

I'm such a fool for not noticing this before! in game and in real life.

Well I guess you are right lol I actually make lots of homemade pickles and hot peppers that are pickled in brine.

Good eye, you should really contact the dev's about this since its realistic.

Canning and pickling are two different things.

I always said I was canning but meanwhile, I was actually pickling my veggies not canning them......lol and I am doing this in real life!
