WHY IS _____ IN HERE? YOU CAN'T CONSUME THAT.

Plates, cups and cutlery are for extra scene decoration, the vending machines are just extra useful content. The NCR Radio is technically a "aid item" in New Vegas, that's the excuse I'm going with.
