Adding my color theme I did years ago for a game called StarDrive (and even later for Endless Legend). For this game I did add four new colors as the other games only supported up to eight players (actually, I used three of the original colors – Apple, BlueGreen and Lavender – as they do fit well with this scheme).

I like the idea of using a bronze, silver and gold-palette for pirates, minors and quests. Changed the minors color from grey to a grey with a hint of smaragd-metallic. Also changed civil fractions color from white to grey with a hint of blue-metallic. No changes for pirates or academy. But all in all they now fit well with each other while still being somewhat different to the major factions color-scheme.

In general I would say that the original ES2 colors are fine if you are more pleased by the cold look and feel of ES2. This mod is for you if you want major faction colors to be of a stronger color intensity and thus make the colors "pop" a bit more.

This palette works while using the default color palette in the options menu.
