Saturation in the game is awful, and only an LUT can improve it. Luckily, an LUT is a super tiny PNG image file, so it's totally safe to use.
Also use Daylight Classic mod if you want, and select only Classic Sunlight Intensity and see if you like that. It improves all that saturation so much!
