Description
Introduction
This mod restores a significant amount of content to site Omicron that was originally cut from the game. It includes new puzzles, enemies, dialogue and events.

All of the new content was created from files and scripts left over in the game. I had to take some creative liberty in parts as much of the content only existed as script fragments or leftover triggers in the map. As always this content was cut from the final game for a reason, so first time players should refrain from using this mod as it will not be in-line with the experience that the devs intended.

This is part of an ongoing project that aims to restore cut SOMA content and expand on the Main Game. As each part is complete I intent to release them individually to retain modularity. Subscribe to my workshop for future content.

Special thanks to Kevin Loondren who was responsible for not only restoring the patchwork man to a functional state, but also taking the time to develop his AI and behaviours in a way that would make him feel unique.

Changes:
- Restored dialogue that occurs as Simon wanders around the station.
- Restored dialogue that occurs as Simon collects the items for the Power Suit.
- Restored dialogue that was supposed to occur if Simon tries to Datamine the headless bodies.
- Restored Simon's comments as he assembles the power suit.
- Opened a small vent in the power room that was normally locked.
- Restored some comms terminal audio recovery options
- Restored the pressure chamber terminal.
- Restored the patchwork man cut enemy.
  • He now replaces the second robot girl encounter becoming active after all 3 items are collected.
  • The circumstances in which he is encountered and bahviours depend on which item was collected last.
  • He has been integrated into the chase sequence.
  • Hard Mode has been patched to ensure compatibility with him.
- Restored numerous spook/scare events that were cut by the devs. It seems the intention was for simon to start
hallucinating as his physical or mental condition starts to deteriorate.
  • Restored the 'kitchen corpse' event.
  • Restored the 'pressure chamber hallucination' event and events associated with entering it.
  • Restored the 'laboratory window scare' event, triggers when entering the cold storage.
- Restored the requirement to charge the battery pack after collecting it. The charging terminal can be found at the opposite end of the room to where the battery is found.

The patchwork man makes me more queasy and uncomfortable than any other monster in the game, and I can't seem to get used to him. It's perfect, well done.

SOMA is my favorite horror game and, I gotta say, I downloaded all the cutting room floor add-ons for a 2nd, modded playthrough to experience the game again and they were so great! But the Omicron one has to be my favorite hands down! The objective for the battery is really cool and tense. And the ending got me so surprised it was truely exceptional. Thank you so much for all that

the patchwork man somehow blocked himself inside the laboratory with a chair and couldn't attack me lmao

ah yes, that station was so lonely.
The game overall transitioned imo from spooky to lonely&philosophical at late midgame and endgame (besides fishes and Yash or how was that guy called) which imo was a good decission - but ofc great to have this mod too

Cool, I remeber being surprised when picking up the battery "oh, no need to charge it? right" because all the fliers around "this is how you charge battery" were suggesting otherwise

Yo MaV I fixed the AI for the patchwork man (and no its not basically infected robot but with different sounds and different speed, like legit rescripted the fixed_human AI + added many many stuff) I wanted to add him to omicron (created a state for him to wake up when player gets near) but im too lazy to deal with pathnodes and stuff add me on steam if u want me to send u the AI stuff so u can add it to Omicron cutting floor send me a friend request or something and that would send us to discord probably.

I think this content was cut to amplify that feeling of being alone whilst walking through Omicron. It felt like the only safe room in Omicron was where Catherine was.

@MatizPL
Sounds like you're playing in safe mode to me. None of the cutting room floor mods adjust monster scripts so it can't be an issue with the mods rather a problem on your end.

Hello,
I've got a problem with Your Ark, Omicron and Akers dialogue mods. When they're active, the monsters don't attack me. The mods are great, we really needed this in an officla relase, but playing Soma with monsters only as good companions is a bit boring and I need some challenge from a game.
Please help.
