Babylon 5 Space Station (updated)

Description
".......the name of the place, is Babylon 5." - J. Sinclair

"A final refuge for dreams... and our last, best hope for peace." - Delenn

The Earth Alliance Diplomatic Station Babylon 5. It is to scale, actually about 40 meters longer than it 'should' be. 8082 meters vs. 8046.72 meters (5 miles)

This is not a cheap station, though it takes mostly low level materials. It requires a large crew at the start, almost 1mil pay a cycle.

It's cost include a very large Titanium power generator and storage batteries. A Naonite shield generator, and a small Trinium hanger. The current hanger is only at the docking entrance. I included several framework sections for upgrading, as usual, so making a 'fake' hanger to increase fighter space is easy.

I did not place any weapon location blocks, mostly because I only know of where one actual location is. The point defense turret above the command deck which would be above the docking tunnel. I do think there are some PD weapons along the upper 'platform' but not sure where, and have no clue where the heavy weapon points are.

There are two dock locations on the tips of the overhang arms. ( According to a show screenshot there is a docking location there. )

----------------------------

Disclaimers:
No, it does not rotate. ( someone asked about the Omega I built so getting that out of the way )

The "Cobra Bay" arms do not contain hangers, they are also 45* off axis. They should be at an angle to the docking tunnel, but that was not working out. I also didn't know how the fighters would react if trying to land in such a small location.

The checker board pattern on the sphere was possible, but it was pushing the block count extremely. I left it off for that reason. I also left off some details to save block count and some angles just seem impossible to get right with the piece currently in game.

The majority of the station is empty. It is not 'solid'.

I like what see here - wondering if overlapping or stacking might solve some of the difficulties you encountered - I know a guy ...

I forgot to mention, in the middle of the power generator, is a single red generator block. This is the original starting block. It will upgrade if you use the 'change whole ship' option. but other then that it can't really be changed. I did this on purpose, because I have accidentally destroyed an entire ship when messing with that block.
