Description
Replaces the really fun superhighway with a load of nothing.

This is a Steam Workshop upload of Nexus Mod user stupidprocess' NoSuperHighway mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/80

The title of this mod is a misnomer. It should be NoHighways, but I left the original name for the sake of attributing credit where credit is due.

This mod has been uploaded to the Steam Workshop with the original Author's permission

@MartialDoctor I should also add that this mod is needed if you want to remove the highways in one of the preset starts.

The mod is not needed if you are starting a new custom game as you can remove the highways in the settings for a custom game

@EagleDelta - I was always okay with the Boron having the highways, because it made them feel even more advanced and unique compared to the other races. But having these highways EVERYWHERE did bother me, so thanks again for the mod!

@MartialDoctor - there is one Highway that is built as part of the Boron storyline. It is too complicated to remove the prebuilt highways while maintaining the one that gets built in the storyline. So I just left the Boron highways in as they are stored in a separate XML file than the core game highways.

Additionally, if you are starting a new game, you can use the custom start to remove the highways without using the mod. This mod is primarily for existing saves

Strange, I've started a new game with the Boron start and I have highways throughout Boron space. The mod is enabled and no red exclamation marks.

Is this intended? You mention there are ones needed for the Boron storyline...

@Frog Blender 2000 - I've never heard of that happening. But, no, this mod litterally just removes the XML from the game that defines all the highways, except the one that's needed for the Boron storyline

does this mod stop other ships from ramming you, dying then calling sector security on your ship because they died? It seems to be happening most in sectors with superhighways attached to gates. I keep losing faction with Argon because my L ships keep getting rammed.

@Camy on the main menu screen - check for any red checkmarks or see if the mod is disabled. This mod is incredibly simple and there's not much to check. I don't see any major X4 updates and without updates to the core game, the mod doesn't need any updates either.

If it turns out the mod is enabled and there are NO red checkmarks indicating an error, you'll have to dig into game logs and post those somewhere I can look to check for an issue.

Just noticed my Superhighways are back. Has a new update/patch caused this mod to break? I checked extensions and it's definitely enabled.
