You know, it's hard to believe how hard food is to come by after the world's gone to ♥♥♥♥. Taking for granted the basics, things you can grab off the shelf at the market. ♥♥♥♥ like milk and bread become fond memories. Oh sure, if I'm lucky I can find a carton of the UHT stuff at the old GigaMart if scavvers haven't gotten to it first, but that ♥♥♥♥ ain't nothing like the real deal. Same goes for bread, I'm starting to miss a loaf of sliced bread. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bread man.

But the thing I miss the most? Square meals. Lasagna, or a nice steak. Hell, the garbage I used to cook when I worked the line at Spiffo's is looking real good in my head right now. Fried fish and eggs, hashbrowns slathered in jam. The kind of ♥♥♥♥ that hardens arteries. maybe some canned fruit on the side, to try and justify that greasy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a breakfast.

Today I found a couple of jars of food in a pack that one of them was wearing. Pickled eggs, and some jarred peaches. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate eggs and peaches, but it's either this or the rat I killed and skinned earlier before I started writing this. Beats eating forage and berries like I was doing before I found the gas station I'm holed up in right now, that's for damn sure.

For the graybeards and boomers among you that remember the good ol days of PZ modding, where we had to manually install mods in the Zomboid folder and before the Workshop even existed, you might remember this name. CCCP was THE cooking mod, a compilation of community creations before cooking was even really fleshed out as a thing. The good ol' days, back when the game world consisted of a few dozen buildings and your crippled wife. CCCP did a lot of things that were later introduced to the base game proper, such as stir-fry, jarring, pasta, soup, sandwiches and a whole lot more. Ultimately it was folded into Hydrocraft as the original creators moved on to bigger and better things.

The B41 release of this mod is the original CCCP updated and restored for the modern era. Basically every line of code has been tweaked, changed or updated to work in the current build, including almost 600 lines of nutritional information written and researched from scratch. Note: Some tweaks have also been made to some base items, such as jarred veggies to bring them in line with the items introduced by CCCP.

Major additions added to PZ by this mod:
-Drying/bagging fruit
-Jarring fruit
-Marinades and barebecue
-Jerky making
-Sandwiches
-Pizza
-Lasagna, quiche and kimchi
-New milk choices
-New snacks such as trail mix and chocolates
-And much more

Updated to work for B41.53. There are probably unquashed bugs. C&C Appreciated.
