Kamov KA-50 "Black Shark"

The Kamov KA-50 is a Russian coaxial attack helicopter known for its unique coaxial and single-seat set up, distinctive to the Kamov Design Bureau still currently in service with the Russian Air Force from 1990.

To start up:
- Activate pumps
- Activate engine
- Increase throttle once engine has spooled over a period of time (prevents electricity being consumed so fast)
- Turn on HUD
- Turn on Indicator lights
- Turn off wheel brakes
- Taxi out of the hangar with no collective (use pitch)
- Increase collective, be weary of yaw when lifting off.

- At low fuel the KA-50 has a tendency to be relatively unstable on the pitch axis (most likely due to the coaxial design), so once at low fuel, be careful of how you fly it.

- In forward flight (once again due to the coaxial system) the KA-50 can become unstable, to negate this, increase the collective.

- If the landing gear system fails to retract, simply switch it on and off again.
