Akali from League of Legends. The title says with attentive design and I meant it.

Whereas some others who uploaded this same base image used particle systems to try to bring life to the image, I went with the more subtle approach of effect painting to create clouds that have complex flow patterns aligned with what I think the original artist envisioned. I have included an image of my flow pattern to show the effort I put into blending currents to make for a smooth flow and serve as a rudimentary guide to others getting into making backgrounds.

I also added an Aurora Borealis-like effect to the design on Akali's jacket and glow on her mask, hat, belt and shirt, and shoes. The aurora effect has sliders to allow it to be heavily modified to your liking and all glow effects can be toggled on or off in sections.

As a final attention to detail, I have shifted the entire image up so that her right shoe should appear to just touch or hover above the taskbar (for those with their taskbar on the bottom of their screen). This way the image doesn't awkwardly cut off her toes. As of posting, I am the only one to have done this; I'm probably just OCD, but I find small details like that can add or take away a lot from a wallpaper. All of this is just to say that Lego loves you. <3

Update: Added layered audio-responsive particle systems that respond at different frequencies and ranges. You can turn each system on or off individually and change the amount of particles each system creates so if you don't like it or want more, you can have it. The particles will look best if your performance quality is set to "High" or better.

Also, I can't believe how much traction this wallpaper has gotten and am really happy so many people enjoy something I made!

I didn't attach any music to this wallpaper. Could it be coming from another wallpaper? If so and you don't want it, you can either drag the volume slider all the way to 0 in the wallpaper or in the 'change wallpaper' screen you can click the volume icon on each wallpaper to quick mute them.

Thanks! I have been thinking of revisiting a few older wallpapers, this one included, and doing touch ups. Adding optional motion to Akali is on the list for when I get around to doing that. Reactive paint would be a trickier thing. All I could really do is set up a system to cause it to glow at certain frequencies, such as base or treble. For that reason, I don't think I'll be adding reactivity to the paint.

Very nice wallpaper! though it would have been better if you could have added a very subtle movement animation for Akali or even better make the paint react to music.

Huh, okay. My guess is that this is either a Windows issue or a Wallpaper Engine issue. I know that some weird stuff can happen when Windows returns from suspended. (It moves my desktop icons away from the edge of the screen, but that is unrelated to Wallpaper Engine.) I would check out this forum: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/ I looked briefly and I don't think there is anything about this specific issue, but there is a link to contact them at the bottom and you could explain the issue to them. Hopefully they can get you a definitive answer and a solution.

it crashes when the screen is suspended (it turns black) and when I come back I have to close and reopen the wallpaper.
