The Hunting Game

Description
BRIEF: A mod which aims to make hunting a much more profitable, viable and worthwhile experience. The prices of animal parts, and the amount of items each animal drops, have been significantly altered to provide a much more realistic experience.

Compatibility patch for Realistic Needs and Diseases[skyrim.nexusmods.com]. Thankyou Marelo for creating this!

Pelt Price Changes: The prices for pelts were pretty unrealistic. Pelts and furs in real life are quite valuable, and this wasn't reflected in the game. These new prices give an incentive to hunt, and make hunting actually worth doing.

Bear Pelt: 50 -> 500

Cave Bear Pelt: 60 -> 600

Cow Hide: 10 -> 200

Deer Hide: 10 -> 150

Fox Pelt: 5 -> 75

Goat Hide: 5 -> 50

Horse Hide: 15 -> 150

Ice Wolf Pelt: 15 -> 150

Sabre Cat Pelt: 25 -> 250

Snow Bear Pelt: 75 -> 750

Snow Fox Pelt: 7 -> 130

Snowy Sabre Cat Pelt: 40 -> 400

Werewolf Pelt: 20 -> 2000

Wolf Pelt: 10 -> 100

Animal Part Price Changes: Again, these were unrealistically low. Although the price changes aren't as drastic as the pelt changes, these alterations will increase your hunting experience.

Antlers - Large: 2 -> 40

Antlers - Small: 2 -> 30

Bear Claws: 2 -> 5

Horker Tusk: 15 -> 150

Mammoth Tusk: 150 -> 1500

Mudcrab Chitin: 2 -> 10

Sabre Cat Tooth: 2 -> 15

Slagutherfish Egg: 3 -> 7

Slaughterfish Scales: 3 -> 5

Troll Fat: 15 -> 30 (Weight changed from 1 to 0.5)

Dragon Bones: 500 -> 1500 (Weight dropped) NEW

Dragon Scales: 250 -> 750 (Weight dropped) NEW

Animal Meat Price Changes:

Clam Meat: 1 -> 3

Chicken Breast: 3 -> 4
Grilled Chicken Breast: 4 -> 6

Charred Skeever Meat: 4 -> 3

Dog Meat: 3 -> 4

Leg of Goat: 3 -> 14
Leg of Goat Roast: 4 -> 20

Horker Meat: 3 -> 12
Horker Loaf: 4 -> 16

Horse Meat: 3 -> 8
Horse Haunch: 4 -> 12

Mammoth Snout: 6 -> 30
Mammoth Steak: 8 -> 40

Pheasant Breast: 3 -> 3
Pheasant Roast: 4 -> 5

Raw Beef: 4 -> 8
Cooked Beef: 5-> 12

Raw Rabbit: Leg 2 -> 6
Rabbit Haunch: 3 -> 8

Salmon Meat: 3 -> 4
Salmon Steak: 4 -> 6

Venison: 4 -> 16
Venison Chop: 5 -> 20

Animal Drop Changes: Most of the animal drops in the game just didn't make any sense at all. For example, for every Sabre Cat you kill you would get either 1 eye or 1 tooth, even though every cat has two of each. These changes are to correct such errors. These are the new additional drops:

3 Tusks from every Horker

2 Eyes and 2 Teeth from every Sabre Cat and Snowy Sabre Cat

1-4 Sets of Bear claws from all types of Bear

4 Tusks from each Mammoth

1-3 Cups of Troll Fat from all types of Troll

1-5 Sets of Scales from Slaughterfish

7-10 Toes from each Giant (Weight reduced from 1 to 0.5)

5-10 Feathers from each Hagraven

10-14 Claws from each Hagraven

6-10 Feathers from each Hawk

Meat:

5 - 8 Pieces of Horker Meat from every Horker

3 - 4 Pieces of beef from every cow

3 - 4 Goat Legs from each Goat

3 - 4 Pieces of venison from every Deer and Elk

3 - 4 Pieces of Horse Meat from each Horse

2 Pieces of Dog Meat from every Dog (because they are ribs)

2 Breasts from each chicken

2 Legs from each Rabbit (only for ones you kill, not hanging ones)

Notes:

*Items gained from hanging dead animals (pheasants, salmon) are limited to 1 by the CK. Just think that if someone had already killed it then they probbably took some of the meat too!

*Fixed the vanilla bugs relating to the death drops of horses and goats not calculating properly.

Also, the armour I am wearing is called the Hunter Archer Armour[skyrim.nexusmods.com] and it can be found on the nexus.

Doesn't work in anniversary edition. It shows that's the valuable when you go to sell it it shows much less value.

anyone else not seeing a change of the prices when you kill a animal like it's still the base value but the mod is subscribed and loaded in?

Holy crap, why even bother adventuring or going into a trade like smithing when you can hunt a few animals and live like a king?

Does anyone else have the problem of the item showing you its value with the mod, but you can only sell it for its original price?

yeah i mean keep in mind, skyrim has it's own currency, and animals are a lot more common then they are in real life. I think this is just a little TOO op and unbalenced. You can buy 3 or so steel battleaxes for the price of one bear pelt. That doesent make much sense.

unsubbing to switch to the nexus version. easier to sort it that way.

I want to point out that i agree that there are lots of people hunting in skyrim which makes the profit of fur go down. BUT skyrims prices for fur is Way too low which makes the sport almost unprofitable unless your getting yourself in danger over a poor amount of gold. Then that would make people stop hunting due to how little they got over a Bear that almost killed them.
Bear fur is only worth 50 which i think is way to low for how dangerous they are and how many are in the Rift.

If i marketed skyrims hunting profit. it would be

Bear Pelt: 50 -> 200
Cave Bear Pelt: 60 -> 400
Cow Hide: 10 -> 35
Deer Hide: 10 -> 50
Fox Pelt: 5 -> 40
Goat Hide: 5 -> 25
Horse Hide: 15 -> 75
Ice Wolf Pelt: 15 -> 100
Sabre Cat Pelt: 25 -> 250
Snow Bear Pelt: 75 -> 450
Snow Fox Pelt: 7 -> 100
Snowy Sabre Cat Pelt: 40 -> 400
Werewolf Pelt: 20 -> 2000
Wolf Pelt: 10 -> 50

This mod is close to it so its good to download.
Lets hear what you guy's would Price stuff if you marketed skyrims hunting prices

Just so you know Harvest Overhaul on the nexus has an optional mode for animal drop tables that conflicts with this mod. however, HO does NOT affect sell prices of said drops, so if youre like me, i reccomend enabling this mod first to get the sell prices, then loading HO afterwards for the drop tables.
