Progress Paused (3.0.* Compatible )

(I'm putting this on pause while I work on another equally large overhaul project on another topic, once I'm happy with the results I will resume active development. )

Working on cleaning up old code as well as adding anomalies/natural events for non-swarm players to enjoy. The goal is to bring more balance to the galaxy.

Mod Highlights/Features:
  • Each ( Vanilla ) Planet Type offers different rewards for Prethoryn "Gestalt Pattern" drones ( Replaces unemployed drones on Infested planets only. )
  • Prethoryns are a selectable species portrait
  • "Dormant Prethoryn" Anomalies
  • (Optional) True-Swarm Empire Authority Like a hive mind but better
  • Prethoryn Ships are selectable
  • Infested worlds are now colonizable/have special buildings/economy
  • "Swarm Brood" ascension perks
  • "Swarm Link" - Tame (Non-Player) hostile Prethoryns
  • Machines and Prethoryns do not get along well
  • "Shattered Fallen Empires" (spawn near Prethoryn spawn) Very Hostile
  • Expanded crisis diplomacy events/overhauled Prethoryn Crisis
  • (Slightly Broken) Swarm brood empires can direct friendly AI (naturally-occurring crisis) swarms to attack rivals

As for balancing in this mod, I've balanced this mod around a personal favorite of mine:

Supported Languages:

Currently the mod is only available in English/Simple Chinese, if you would be able to translate, leave a comment and I'll hit you up, add your translation, then add you as a contributor. Thanks in advance.

  • Planets can now be "uninfested" or transformed into Gaia worlds
  • Dead Prethoryn (That spawn anomalies/events) are available for (with varying results) for all empires to interact with
  • Fixed Initial game generation for Swarm players, making them generate more naturally
  • "Shattered Fallen Empires" Added
  • "Consumer Metabolism Hive" Building Added
  • Fixed alloy foundries not producing resources for True Swarm Empires
  • Minor re-balancing of buildings to fit Federations
  • True Swarm pops do not contribute to empire sprawl

  • Add naturally-occuring Feral/Frenzied Prethoryn ships/"Feral Territory"
  • Remove True Swarm empires from Galactic Community participation
  • Fix the "SWARM KIN! WE HAVE A TARGET!" Option for Crisis Swarm Diplomacy
  • Add more swarm countermeasures
  • Add Localisation support for more languages than just English
  • Fix/remove Research labs on Infested worlds
  • Tweak Galaxy generation to promote a more hostile environment for Swarm empires
  • Figure out how to get natural AI empires to spawn in as True Swarm Empires and further develop True Swarm Empire AI
  • Add Fanatic-Purifier events/anomalies
  • Fix Title Images with better (More accurate Images)
  • Probably much more


MASSIVE UPDATE, Please leave feedback.

Prethoryns now have access to a backup job that has different yields based off of what the planet used to be before it was infested, this is a massive buff to Prethoryn economy and may need some tweaking in the future. Explore and enjoy, as always feedback appreciated <3

Oh man, it's a shame this mod broke. Does anyone know the last version of the game it worked for? I may want to downgrade to play with this mod

Sorry to hear that the updates continue to break the best swarm mod out there. I'm hoping you find the time to fix it, but there's no rush.

You can thank the game devs for breaking the engine with every single update ( causing dozens of hours of rewriting, dozens more of playtesting, and dozens more researching the current front-end code ) for the dalays, this mod took a long time to make and is going to take more to fix, I don't have that time right now unfortunately

Unfortunately right now I'm having trouble getting some of the scripted events ( that make the mod function ) work and I don't have hours to look into it, I appreciate the enthusiasm/support but I can only do so much
