Description
Blacksmith Andre hammers away within Firelink Shrine. He can upgrade, infuse, and repair equipment, as well as improve a hollow's Estus flask if given a shard.

"Well, a newcomer I see. I am Andre, I serve in this shrine as a humble smith forging new weapons. You're in search of the Lords of Cinder, I trust? A toilsome journey, I wager. You'll require good arms. Let me smith y' weapons. I am a smith, such is my purpose. Prithee, be careful. I don't want to see m' work squandered!"

Recorded in Dark Souls 3 at 30 FPS and optimized to keep filesize reasonably low.

It takes a tiny bit of setup, but OBS (open broadcaster software) will record, and it's also the standard for streaming if you ever want to get into that. If you have an nvidia card, nvidia shadowplay will also work just fine. Both of these are free. Be sure to look at some tutorials to find options such as what framerate and resolution you want to record at.

As for editing the video, I use a combo of Adobe Premier (paid software) and Avidemux (free). Avidemux is more than enough for most editing. I just use Premier to do fancy stuff like seamless looping, or editing something out of the footage.

Cool thanks! Should have remembered the binoculars but I had no idea about the HUD option. Any particular software you would recommend for recording?

Thank you, glad you like it! Most souls games have options in the menu to disable the HUD, then you can use binoculars to get the first-person view.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the process of making content! :)

Hey love the Dark Souls wallpapers! I was wondering how you get the first-person perspective without any HUD elements. Looks really great so I'm considering trying my hand at making some and maybe doing it with some scenes that you haven't covered yet. Thanks! :D
