Meat can be preserved by drying and smoking. Smoking meat takes a long time, but you can do a lot at once.
*Smoked meat is kept for 35 days. It is classified as unprocessed meat, so it can be used in all recipes that use meat, such as meals and feeds.
* Smoking pits are campfires modified to use less wood, burn more slowly; produce less heat; die out faster in the rain; and can smoke meat.
*A smokehouse allows you to smoke more meat at the same time, much more than a smoke pit.
PER "洛清衣" This is a very old mod maintained by many authors. I saw that it hadn't been updated for a version or two and decided to keep it alive. I will add it to my Vegetable Garden collection and keep it updated.

Variety:
- You can smoke vegetables.
-Can smoke human/insect meat into a meal. Cannot be used to prepare other meals.
- The Smoke Pit requires research on eating dried meat.
- The smokehouse requires dried meat and complex furniture to build.

The Special food properties are lost. And it won't count as that special food for Ideo buffs and losses its negative de-buffs.
The meats are coded this way. I spent way too long trying to find a fix for it.
So I just removed the smoked version for making meals.
