Description
Greetings and welcome to snazzys_office_v2! This is a little updated version of my first map, snazzys_office_v1.

snazzys_office_v2 changes the angle of the sun in order to fix some of the lighting issues I was having, so keep in mind that the shadows may be angled a little bit different than in v1. This only fixes the problem with the props appearing pure black, the issue with the staircases still remains, sorry. Also added some computers at the front desks and a server in one of the closets :D

NOTE: This map was made for and works very well with "StormFox - Environment mod", so you can set it to night and get the full effect of the toggleable lights with the mod

FEATURES
  • A single 4 story office-ish building
  • Lots of rooms
  • Lights!
  • A working fuse box/breaker box with two switches(one for the outside lights and the other for the inside lights)
  • Filled with some props :D
  • Flat space around the building and parking lot for other things?
  • Plenty of doors!
  • Breakable windows

    KNOWN BUGS/PROBLEMS
  • Some lighting bug on the staircases that make the textures appear pure black unless a flashlight is shined on it(Sorry, currently cant find a solution to fix it)
  • The double doors are bugged so once they have been opened, one of the doors will refuse to close. Using the C menu still closes it though(Again, Sorry, currently cant find whats causing it)
  • The 3D Skybox is a tad off and not completely leveled with the ground(For the life of me it wont line up)

    As said before please be gentle with me, as said this is my first map and first time working in source.


    Little backstory for anyone that wants to know
    This map was created for a little gamemode for my friends and I. After looking through the workshop for maps to use(and I have found plenty) I decided to make my own map that had exactly what I wanted. So keep in mind that this map was created for that gamemode which is a Rainbow 6 Siege style gamemode but with my own twists and focus on making it more realistic(at least as realistic as I can get it in gmod)

Yeah, your maps are actually incredible, they're not laggy, they've got destructible glass, and they have props, that's what kind of maps we need more often. Out of about all of the maps i've played exlcuding flatgrass and construct, i think i like this map the most.

Ah, that was my guess as to what you meant. I'll think about doing that then and make it a separate map from this. I haven't really touched the Hammer map editor in like 3 years now(crazy its already been that long). I've gotten so caught up in playing other games, my youtube channel, work, relationships within that time so i haven't really had time to work on maps anymore. I do want to again soon though, I was mainly waiting on S&box(gmod 2) to see if its worth working on maps for that. Makes me happy though that people seem to still play my maps :)

Isn't it already basically that? I mean the terrain all around is flat and empty, aside from the trees and distant buildings in the skybox to appear a little more realistic.

you should take the flatgrass map but replace the building in the middle of the map with the building in this map, or a building like it. it'd be awesome!

To my knowledge it should already work with SF2, don't think any map maker should have to update their map in anyway for the mod.
