there are many types of rail included in the mod, and a certain way to keep trains on this track, so i will go into depth with these in an example level, and example locomotive. i also have published a recreation of the "2-8-0 Consolidation" onto the workshop, as well as freight and passenger variants.

• Straight Rails
  There are 5 types of straight rails, 1m, 5m, 10m, 20m, and 50m Variants.
  
  
• Curved Rails
  These come in 4 types, 45°right, 45°left, 22.5°right, and 22.5°left. these abide by a 105m radius, roughly. Going forward from 2020, it is reccomended to make curves from straight segments of rails.
  
  
• Switches
  Switches can be interesting. they follow the 22.5° curves, but also have the option to go straight. these require a "switching rail" to function, these rotate by 9° between its two positions.
  

These Rails are Level objects in Multiverse (located in the "Virtual" tab in the level editor), so remember to turn Physics off on each rail piece. Each individual rail is 0.5m wide (half a block) and have 3m of space in between, with 1m of clearance under it (I reccomend only going down to 0.6 though.) The example chassis shows this in action. Reccomended grade is 5° maximum, make sure to smooth out the angle. Rails are FPS friendly, tested at 40mph, but can be used at higher speeds. reccomended grid size for placing rails is 0.05.
