The Tempest class carrier is seen as the workhorse of a fleet. It was engineered to take on the role of an escort and transport vessel. The Tempest is also able to hold its own in battle against smaller vessels and fighter, but it relies more on the strike craft and gunships that it brings to the battlefield, since the Tempest hardly features any armor. During the war ACI engineers realized that the usage of strike craft in the Republic’s navy had shown to be much more effective against the Terran navy. The carrier is able to act as a fleet command ship or forward command if landed on a planet. The Tempest has been equipped with a dual bridge layout in order to separate fighter command and all ATC duties from the general command of the ship. The Tempest is able to carry a total of 10 strike craft inside its exterior and interior hangar bay plus an additional three strike craft or drop ships on the two landing pads on the front and rear of the ship.

The Tempest carriers are manufactured and assembled on Aressia, not far from the planetary capital, in one of the many dry docks on the planet and production of the vessel is happening at a rapid pace. The Tempest makes other supply and cargo ships in the navy redundant and older carriers are being phased out and replaced by this carrier. The development of the Tempest also called for a new planetary gunship/drop ship, which also serves as a rapid response vessel by the Aressian Police Force.



After a long and needed break I have come back to SE with a new build! Fortunately enough MP is much more stable therefore I thought you guys could really use a new ACI carrier that will enable you to play with your friends and will make for some amazing fleet battles and dogfights!



Make sure to never press the “P” key when piloting the ship, because if fighters are docked with the ship via connector they will wreak havoc. Therefore I have made special toolbar command for the different connector groups. When trying to dock the ship to a station via connector or landing on a planet or moon via landing gear make sure to use those designated toolbar commands.
