Ancient Pompeii

Description
Hi all!

This is my long-promised world build of a few blocks of ancient Pompeii. This reconstruction centers around the House of Sallust, with the shops, industries, and homes nearby.

When you load the world, your character may begin out beyond the borders of the town. Just commit suicide, and spawn in the bed. This will put you in a bedroom in the House of the Baker. Have fun exploring.

I will try to put up some images that give more details of the buildings you can explore. Plus I have included links to my Pompeii videos, which may help orient you as well.

To find real-life pictures of these places, visit "Pompeii in Pictures." The House of Sallust is in Regio VI, Insula (block) 2. My build takes in Insula 2, and parts of Insulas 1, 3, and 17. http://pompeiiinpictures.com/pompeiiinpictures/Plans/regio_6.htm

Hey stori3d I love what you did there, I'm currently also on a Roman culture trip and was wondering if it was possible to get all the blocks and items that you used? With friendly regards

I just started new grids by placing a new wall unconnected from the others. That lets you rotate them in new directions.

Just curious, how did you get the blocks to angle like that, and go diagonally and so forth. How come they don't just snap into place on a 90 degree basis?

Thanks much all! Yeah the game has come a long way. It takes plenty of modding to do stuff like this, but I love that the game can handle it all now.
