This is a photo of some galaxy with custom particle system that avoids the cursor.
If you are interested to know how i made this (not very descriptive):
I used the 2D option again and imported the image. I then scaled it so you can only see the original picture. Then I added a particle system in renderable section. I changed some colors and sizes. And also the origin of the renderable.
