From playing through the first chapter and Interlude I can say that CULTIC is going to be a complete masterpiece once all the chapters are out. The gameplay is fast and brutal with a excellent selection of weapons to use. The levels are well crafted and full of secrets. Enemies are top notch and come in great variety and really provide a good challenge. You can definitely see the BLOOD and Resident Evil influences and it certainly makes a great combination.

I cannot wait for the rest of CULTIC's chapters and definitely give this game a easy recommendation to shooter fans and horror fans. Well done Mr Smith!

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin is disappointingly a very mid shooter that suffers with a few flaws that stop it from being a top tier game in the genre. I enjoyed the hub aspect and getting to choose what levels I can play in what ever order I like. I also enjoyed the games weapon roster and found them all to be creative and good to use. The visuals are awesome and look definitely like something that would of come out in the late 90's (The game is using the OG Quake engine via the source port DarkPlaces after all!). I also really like the use of the Soul Tether save system as it makes your saves a limited resource and makes you think more about when to save (You can turn this off in the options to have unlimited saves if you wish.).

Here are my gripes.I felt like the first hub had the best designed levels compared to the second and third, also I feel that levels tended to drag on a bit to long at times. I also found the ammo balancing to be quite scarce as I seemed to be running out of ammo quite a bit through out the games levels and found myself having to back track a lot to find more resources. The game also has a roster of 15 enemies to fight and kind of makes you yearn for a bit more variety when approaching the end of the game as combat encounters kind of start feeling samey by the end. I would of also loved if they gave the enemies cosmetic differences for each hub theme to give a bit of variety to them. The story is really nothing at all to be honest and the soundtrack is also pretty bland and forgettable.

It took me just over 14 hours to finish and while I did certainly did enjoy certain parts, I feel that it doesn't really stack up to plenty of the other modern Boomer Shooters out there at the moment. I do recommend for those that love the genre, but wait for a decent sale.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition is a great Mexican inspired Metroidvania with great beat 'em up style combat, well made level design and platforming, amazing art, and a really good soundtrack to boot. You play as Juan who must don the legendary luchador mask to save El Presidente's Daughter from the evil Calaca. The story has plenty tongue in-cheek humour and there is plenty of Easter eggs to other games found throughout the adventure. Took me about 10 hours to get through and just found it to be a great time!

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part Two is a decent end to the DOOM Eternal saga. Like the previous part, you get three new levels to blast through! There is also a new weapon, The Sentinel Hammer which adds a nice new layer to the combat as it can stun all enemies around you when used. The levels I feel are a lot shorter compared to the previous part and definitely feel a lot easier this time around. It took me just under 3 hours on ultra violence to get through while going for all the secrets and collectables.

I did enjoy Part One a bit more because of the challenge it offered, but found the story and epic moments from this part made it worth the playthrough and it all caps off quite nicely.

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One is really great expansion and continues the story from the main game, and adds three new challenging levels to blast through! The story is set after the events of the main game and has the DOOM Slayer on the quest to restore balance to the cosmos. This expansion is quite challenging and really requires you to have a firm grasp of mechanics and controls to get through it. It took me about 4 hours to get through whilst going for all collectables and secrets and had a blast!

DOOM Eternal is the absolute masterclass of triple A first person shooters! Movement feels really good and also adds in a dash feature which enhances not only environment traversal but also gives a great advantage in combat if used properly. The weapons are all really well designed and all stay useful throughout the game. The addition of the Flame Belch is a great mechanic that allows for you to generate armour from hurting/killing burning enemies and adds a nice layer to the combat as you can practically now replenish all your resources amidst combat if your skilled enough. Level design is memorable with great art direction (Super Gore Nest is my favourite!) and has a good balance of combat and exploration with plenty of traversal and platforming as well as plenty of secrets to uncover!

The games story is really cool and has a few throwbacks sprinkled in here and there that link to the classic games. I played through the base campaign on Ultra Violence and took me about 15 hours to get through while trying to go for all the secrets, collectables and weapon mastery's. There is plenty of replay value to go through again on higher difficulties and there is the addition of the Master Levels which are harder versions of some levels from the main game with extra challenges and a wave based Horde mode. If you are craving even more then there is the two campaign expansions The Ancient Gods Part One & Part Two which continue the story and add more challenging levels and combat encounters for you to blast through!

High On Life is a fun First Person Shooter! Combat is very good and each of the Gatlians you obtain and use feel unique and impactful. The story is decent and If you like Rick and Morty type humour then you will love this game. Main Story takes about 8-10 hours to get through.

POSTAL: Brain Damaged is a great Boomer Shooter with great movement, an excellent arsenal of weapons, well paced and creative levels, and plenty of urine! The story is set in a dream (or nightmare) that the POSTAL Dude is having, which allows for plenty of creative freedom for abstract level design and enemies to fight. The game has that traditional POSTAL series charm of being full to the brim of crude humour and parody, So snowflakes be wary that this game might disgust or offend you :P. It took me about 5 hours to play through and has replay value to go through again and find secrets, collectables, and also to try and complete levels faster. There is also a wave based Survival mode as well.

I recommend for both fans of the series and for those that are looking for another good Boomer Shooter to pick up!

POSTAL 4: No Regerts is a proper follow-up to POSTAL 2 and pretty much follows the template that game set with the open world and going through a week of fun as the POSTAL Dude. I found Edensin to be a fun town to explore and cause mayhem in, with fun secrets to find as well as POSTAL challenges scattered around to earn extra things like money and items like health pipes etc. There is also the inclusion of mobility scooters and go-karts to help traverse the huge town and found they control pretty well.

The games combat sometimes feels a bit unbalanced as I found enemies have to have dead on accuracy at times, and found during some boss fights they would just keep spawning in. However the game respawns you after death from a checkpoint with all your current progress including the enemies you have killed, which kinda balances things out.

I found the game to be quite stable and never crashed for me. I only experienced a few issues, like falling through the map sometimes just for the game to send me back to the last save, going through a loading zone and coming out on the other side with my money missing from my inventory, and some minor things like grass and rock textures coming out of the roads texture in few places.

The story is what you expect from a POSTAL game and will offend people who are not able to take jokes and cry over a drop of a hat, so be warned! Jon St John (Voice of Duke Nukem and many more roles) is the default voice of the POSTAL dude this time around and does a great take on the character. Also you are able to choose the voices of the original Dude, Rick Hunter, as well as POSTAL III's Corey Cruise and even the POSTAL movies Zack Ward, which are all performed amazingly as well!

Overall I found POSTAL 4: No Regerts to be an fun time! My first playthrough came through just under 10 hours and can see myself playing through again in the future and messing around a bunch more. I recommend this game! Especially to those who loved POSTAL 2 and want a true follow-up!
