Decent Osu clone, but lots, lots, LOTS of improvement to do :
  • Weird interface. There're buttons everywhere, I never know wether an option is unavailable or I just didn't find it.
  • Weak feedback loop. Osu makes struck notes flash when hit right, which makes it easy to tell the exact moment I screw up. On Quaver, I'd often realize I lost 3/4 of health after seemingly only missing 2 notes.
  • Live precision feedback is also so small I'd often not even distinguish how precise my notes are
  • Live ranking tab is very distracting, with the white outline moving up and down. Can't be disabled, or maybe in some obscure submenu.
  • Double tap to quit the map... this one was so basic ; the time I move my hand and double tap, I'd stop focusing and often lose before even being able to quit. Then, unskippable animation, so alt+f4 gets me back faster (yes it does!) on selection screen
  • No button to go from map download tab to singleplayer. Subtle but ankward.
  • Default full-horizontal layout, which I personally feel quite harmful compared to layouts that allow to place each hand at a comfortable angle
Skin customization can be misleading. Skin button leads to steam workshop, excepted if I want to equip it, it's not that big "SKINS" button on main menu as it should, but the small "Sklns" button in the options, which newcomers like me have to find out by either checking everything hopelessly, or scrolling through the skins doc on the main site.

Currently pretty good, but still very weak considering it's playing against OSU itself.

What I think would help standing out from OSU :
  • In-depth practice mode : select a snippet of a map to practice in a loop. Some maps are unpracticeable due to having long easy parts on start.
  • AI/Algorythmic practice feedback : Tell the player what went wrong in the map, and suggest specific methods to practice these weaknesses.
