i found this game simply scrolling through steam and im so happy i did this thing is awesome. i love the story, the horror elements are great, there are TONS of different paths you can go down, most being short ones with "not so great" endings (from the characters perspective, the bad endings are still thought out wonderfully and do an amazing job of being unsettling.) but still great ones. (personal favorite being the one with Aoi, that ending actually had me staring at my monitor blankly for a minute or two.) the soundtrack is also great, having a lot of songs played throughout. the only things that i ever had a slight issue with were choppy transitions into cutscenes, and the fact that the boss had checkpoints. (rq forgot to mention the 180 turn that the game takes for the boss is INSANE, love the mechanics.) i totally think that the boss should still be skippable for people who just wanna play a chill game or simply cant beat it, but if that boss didnt have checkpoints between all three phases it could of been really challenging, like that difficulty curve couldve been on undyne the undying levels if it was more punishing, hoping that was on purpose though and theyre gonna make harder ones with the newer chapters.
overall it was a super fun and thought out game, really excited for chapter 2!!
