For $42 AUD i feel like it currently isn't worth it. It's very promising and it sucks that i must refund it but i could tell i wouldn't play the game often enough to warrant choosing it over other games in my wish list at this time. Hopefully once it's at full release or further along i'll decide to get it for good.

In my 1 hour 30 mins of playing i saw some bugs that made me too hesitant to stick around (due to the price). Mainly the jumping- for the most part it was fine but there were times where i was lined up and going at a steady pace only for the indicator to stay red. This mostly happened with jumps that were close together and even more frustrating it'd only happen with the second jump.

The energy system is also kind of boring and hard to understand (I watched tutorials on youtube trying to understand this game but still couldn't quite get it). My horse would never regain full energy without a treat (you can only give treats once or twice a day), which is probably on purpose due to the stats of the horse but seemingly the only way it can regain full energy without treats is by ending the day which just isn't what i'm used to or enjoy. I've never been a fan of energy systems in games though so maybe it's just a preference.

The ultimate problem though was the inability to save consistently. Having to end every day just to save is so tedious and i hope it's just temporary instead of the intended experience because it is not player friendly. It also leaves the game open to randomly loosing a huge chunk of progress (game crash, power outage etc) which is extra brutal due to the amount of things you can do in one day. It also doesn't help that you have to go all the way back home to save (you have fast travel options but only to the entrance of your farm which you then have to go through a loading screen anyway followed by more travel, returning horse to stable etc).

I understand it's an early access game and i like a lot about this game already (the art, the horse progression, the characters, quests etc), but the asking price is just too big for me to justify right now
