This game is really good, has a lot of love poured into the characters, writing, gameplay, story, EVERYTHING! If you love strategy games or even just puzzle games, play it! If you love worldbuilding and interesting narratives, play this game! This game does amazing things with blending gameplay with storytelling, and more than anything I wish that more people CARED about its story!!!

This is a plea to all those people that love games as an artistic medium, as a way to tell stories; PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME! I love this game so much, and it pains me that the only attention this game seemed to get was from twitch streamer ♥♥♥♥♥ who couldn't care less about it and who turned up their nose every time text came up on screen. I despise those kinds of people, and I wish they'd stick to playing ♥♥♥♥ like Destiny 2 or League of Legends; just leave games like this to the people who actually enjoy reading and storytelling!
GIVE THIS GAME THE LOVE IT DESERVES! CARE ABOUT THE STORY IT'S TRYING TO TELL!

This game is a diamond in the rough, barely clinging to life thanks to EA leaving the series for dead. It's got a fair few glitches and bugs that you'll probably need to resolve first, and I won't lie about the gameplay getting repetitive at times. The combat is serviceable and decently satisfying if not all that deep. There's only one boss fight at the very end, and a million other little gripes I could make that merely stem from the development hell EA put the game through...
But that doesn't matter, because in the end this game is carried by its story and stellar art direction. This version of the classic story of Alice in Wonderland is a gripping and gloriously twisted tale, and delves into the horrors from reality that no nightmare could capture fully- such as child trafficking, sexual predators targeting children, and especially the abuse and torture inflicted on patients in mental health institutions (all of which still exist in some form or another to this day). The game tackles these horrors with masterful skill, never coming off as preachy or irreverent with these subjects that are... uncomfortable to say the least.
This series is a pillar of creative genius, and a testament to the passion and artistry of its creator American McGee. Sadly, McGee has given up on his passion for game development due to the cruelty EA has inflicted upon him and his creations. American McGee, if you're reading this, I wish you well in whatever else life has in store for you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work you and your team put into the series. It's tragic that the final game in the trilogy will never come to pass, and I will curse EA to my dying breath for what they did to you and your masterpieces! But above all, I will try my best to hold onto my sense of wonder as I move forward with my life. If this game has taught me anything, it's that we all have our own Wonderland, one that needs protecting from the people who would force it to crumble for the sake of blind obedience subjugation to reality. I bid farewell to Alice and her Wonderland, as I turn my attention to rebuilding my own Wonderland...

Idk it's been like a year since I've played this game I have only vague memories. Its pretty darn good so buy it.

amazing game, dunno how else to say it

So far (I'm on Mass Effect 2 at time of writing) this series has been great. A bit clunky at times? Yes. A little jank in execution? Also yes. But does it have some genuinely interesting things going on? ABSOLUTELY!
I am a big fan of Bioware as a studio, and this series (alongside the Dragon Age series) to me stands among my favorite games I've ever played. It's got that special something, a secret ingredient that I can't put my finger on that makes the whole experience come together...

Happy crab souls with funny social commentary on Capitalism, and the story is really damn good. Combat is satisfying, and assist options are plentiful for people like me who aren't great with soulslikes in the first place.

EDIT: after a few more hours into the game, the game slowly gets more and more terrifying. I have a fear of the deep ocean, and while The Shallows area was lovely- it was all fun and games until I hit the area called THE UNFATHOM
Oh and the story gets even better as it goes on, trust me.
