why did they give all the main characters outfits with random plaid designs

It's hard to recommend Clear Sky for the simple reason that every change makes the game considerably better or considerably worse. The good changes to SoC's formula are REALLY good and make it hard to go back (i.e. artifact detecting, weapon modding, graphics) but the bad changes are similarly REALLY bad (i.e. bleeding, pistol aiming) and make the game feel like a slog to get through, which is a shame because when it's good it's arguably more fun than SoC. It's hard to find enjoyment when there are there are now random patches of radiation around the map that you can't see or detect until you go into them and your health decreases though lmao

this game is jank-o-rama but also like the most atmospheric thing ever

Pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Few bugs that can only be worked around with noclip, but overall a really solid mod.

The coolest part about this game is the fact that almost every story mission literally can't be completed because the game says "well, this character didn't win the fight in the show, so the battle has to have a cut off time where it ends". Wonderful game with a terribly frustrating story mode.

Very mixed opinions on this game that keep changing. On one hand it's an incredibly fun survival horror game, on the other hand, it's an inferior version of the greatest horror game ever made that's treated as the definitive version. Very promising for future SH games though, I'd be content if F ends up being similar to this.

Weird how only one of the games called Resident Evil has a house where the Residents are Evil....

I didn't have high hopes for a short mod like this, I found Year Long Alarm and Downfall to be quite underwhelming due to how similar they are to the base game and they don't do anything with the core mechanics other than reuse them. I expected nothing much - and boy was I wrong. Transmissions is just as short as the previously mentioned mod, but does so much more than them. Every minute of it is some of the most immersive atmosphere I've ever experienced in the Source engine, it works wonders if you turn the lights off while playing it. The game visually is a collection of urban grays and blacks, with little variation, establishing such a great isolated atmosphere. Really, the only bad part about this game is the final firefight, but I'm willing to forgive it considering how great the rest of the mod is.
