Connors story is great, Kara's running from cops story is garbo, and Markus commie android revolution storyline is even worse.

Markus' entire story revolves around this revolution crap and the people involved with his "movement", but honestly it was all just so uninteresting. People start to like androids more and accept them as living maybe? The end result was so painstakingly obvious from the very beginning it made it hard to care. No mystery no nothing just your basic equal rights story but with androids this time. And the androids are annoying as well. So why am I leading an android liberation movement when I hate all these robot pricks(Except for connor)? Failure in narrative design. Also Markus romances a prostitute robot... Cuck

Kara stroyline is just a woman and a girl running away while they are tracked by police for a while. Then the police stop tracking them because nobody cares actually. And I didn't care either. Oh they are escaping? Cool dont care. Why are the androids coming to life what is Ra9? Naaah lets go look at what Kara and Alice are doing yiiiiikes. It is boring af. And isn't even tied to Connors storyline after the first couple hours so it serves 0 purpose. They should have stopped the story after they ran from Todd. Everything that came after that was just a massive waste of time.

Without Connor and the lieutenant Anderson storyline this game would be worth 0 dollars, markus is so unbelievably unlikable, wannabe Jesus or something. The connor investigation carries this game so hard it is insane. Markus and Kara dont even need to be in this game, literally could just be cut completely make the game 6 hrs long with nothing but connor and done.

Also for some unknown reason they thought it would be a good idea to interact with objects using analog stick you use for looking around, so while you try to interact you instead end up looking around and when looking around you accidentally interact with objects. Monkey brain developer stuff.

But the truth is the entire premise of the game is flawed in the first place. As connor you investigate these android crimes where all of them are just: "poor android was attacked by violent person and it was just self defense boo hoo forgive them". No. Think about Toy story for example. Sid is bad guy that burns and destroys toys in horrific ways right? Wrong. He is just a normal kid, but he is making new toys for fun. He doesn't know they are alive and can feel what he is doing, so how is it evil? When he discovers that the toys were alive all this time, he is horrified. He wouldn't have destroyed the toys if he knew they were self aware.

Same thing applies here. You have these people who "mistreat" androids but how can you mistreat something that isnt even alive? Can you mistreat your phone? Or your keyboard? your mouse? But say they all of a sudden came to life and accused you of mistreatment. "Remember when you poured soda all over me and didnt clean it up??? You are a monster". Nah f that. The premise is flawed to begin with. If I start breaking my phone then all of a sudden it transforms into a mech and starts to fight back telling me it is self aware I am not the bad guy here, I was just breaking a machine not killing something.

But here they talk about "self defense" and what not it is all BS. They try to make you sympathetic to the androids by making the humans that try to destroy the machines bad guys, but all it does is make the androids look like some infallible mistreated beings and humans monsters despite the fact the androids constantly prove how instable and psychotic they are when "freed" (Ralph, attic guy, pigeon guy, prostitute many more). It is moronic. A prostitute robot strangles a guy because he was destroying property and I am supposed to feel bad for the lesbian robots? Nah. It is moronic.

But it is alright too bad Kara and Markus storylines are giga ass. Gameplay too is worse for them than Connor, great gameplay sections like "manservant for old dude" and "walk and analyze symbols on walls" really fun stuff. Completely remove the Kara and Markus sections and instantly the game becomes much better.
