@jacklyn as convienent as that would be for me to do, I personally like to create the models from the ground up as a derivative of the beamng/automation vehicles. Both have way too much detail in its model for the game its going to be inserted into, and so I massively downscale it so that it looks more in line with the game itself. Also its good practice for modelling.

ever thought about taking exported automation/beamng cars and turning them into zomboid mods? i can make some decent looking cars you might be able to port over 👀👀👀

can you make the hood skoop shading from the roamer rs as a paint, net level thanks
Quaxbo 12 Jan, 2024 @ 1:21pm
and the details for lxt too as paint net level
Quaxbo 12 Jan, 2024 @ 1:20pm
and with the roamer you forgot to add the shading for the lxt version as a plane in the paint net file the door lines overlap in the shading if you copied them in from a finished skin
Quaxbo 12 Jan, 2024 @ 9:42am
thank you I am happy to help

@Quaxbo, huh, you're right about that. I'll fix that issue on the weekend
Quaxbo 12 Jan, 2024 @ 3:16am
there is no pdn. file in the texures folder from the covet.
Quaxbo 12 Jan, 2024 @ 2:40am

@Quaxbo I don't think you even need to do that. If you use the rectangle select tool and hold ctrl and alt, you can select and deselect individual pixels respectively to copy and then paste to the other side. If you need the shadows back, you can stretch the existing part horizontally as it'll just fill in the shadeless area seamlessly, then you can add your numbering as needed.

I managed it problem is when you delete the model drawing on the layer in the etk you delete a rectangle from the shading with I copied the numbers from the black one then I pasted them into the shading variant I wanted then I made the shading layer together with the color layer and painted the shadow around the numbers as you said by hand again just a bit awkward

Roamer works thanks!
Quaxbo 11 Jan, 2024 @ 2:44pm
thank you I will try
Ivailo 11 Jan, 2024 @ 2:41pm
@Quaxbo for the ETK you can just paint the model names pixel by pixel directly since that's how I made them for each model, and for the Roamer I believe I used the built-in text renderer and just used either Arial or Calibri to make the lettering for it.
Quaxbo 11 Jan, 2024 @ 2:35pm

good update but could you add the model names like 3000ix as a layer in the paint net. picture? i tried to make one.the model designations are unfortunately fixed in the shading and cannot be changed from 2400i to 3000ix for example with layers in paint.net but i am very grateful to you for this update and with the Roamer you forgot the detailing from the lxt and the other letterings

@Quaxbo the mod does in fact have an orange colour skin that you are looking for, you just gotta either hunt that color down, or just bring up debug mode to start sifting through all the skins. Other than that though, the end result of the mod here is more or less final, until something inevitably breaks of course.
Quaxbo 28 Jul, 2023 @ 3:16am
or can you make templates for the skins? i know it is a lot of work for temps
Quaxbo 28 Jul, 2023 @ 3:08am
oh ok but i remenber that bright yellow and orange from the presets from the etk and then are my favorite color from the moonhawk moonlight and the rose pink from the same perphabs bright pink too? can you add them?

@Quaxbo in general, I only really picked the preset colour skins for each car so it does mimick the config, with a few extra skins so that each car can have a total of 16 different colours. Granted I did predispose the distribution of the skins so that the white, grays and blacks are a much more common colour spawn, but I'd say there's a pretty good variety in general. Add that to the fact that I had to remake each skin about an additional dozen times, and next thing you know the ETK mod alone is roughly the same file size as my other two BeamNG mods combined, solely thanks to the textures taking up 90% of all that

I am missing a few paint colors from the ekki since I beam play myself but otherwise very good mod can you add a few more colors plase?
