What is there to say really about this game? It's Destiny, an industry juggernaut whether you like it or not. I've played maybe just a little bit (I can never escape) so I wanna share my feelings about this game.
For new players who happen to see this, DO NOT GO IN EXPECTING A GENUINE F2P EXPERIENCE. The f2p version of d2 frankly has barely anything worthwhile to do. The core playlist activities (strikes (pve), crucible (pvp), and gambit (pvevp)) are available yes, but they have been largely neglected by Bungie for a while now, and are considered to be some of the most lackluster parts of the game. If you truly want to have a good time in d2, you've gotta fork over the money for the expansions, 3-month long seasons, and dungeons. These activities, alongside raids, are the pinnacle of d2, and despite the overall high total price tag, are genuinely fantastic experiences, ESPECIALLY raids. Witch Queen as well is just incredible gameplay and story-wise, and the raids this game curates are genre-defining.
Speaking of gameplay HOLY CRAP does this game feel good. The guns look and sound like they were made by angels, and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie somehow made a deal with the devil or something for art and general visuals this amazing. The guns in this game are unmatched in the industry and genuinely feel fantastic to handle and fire. If you love fps games, this one is a keeper, if you can stomach the high price of actually playing this game.
