Very very good game, it is however not the life changing masterpiece i was told it was by every PS4 owner at the time.

The combat only gets good after about 6-8 hours in once you unlock genuinely game changing abilities that actually engage you in combat.

The story is incredibly emotional even for someone who has not played the other GoW games properly.

The exploration is fun 50% of the time, while the other 50% feels like Ubisoft checklisting, which wouldn't be a problem if there was simply a bigger volume of the actual explorable things and especially the good ones, it doesn't help that the rewards are often minimal and not impactful.

Most puzzles are incredibly simple and telegraphed, with little to no difficulty except one or two iirc.

The lore and internal conflicts of the realms get teased at yet barely explored which was a genuine bummer when you're being hyped up about the Bifrost essentially being at your disposal at all times.

This game definitely feels like it was a huge buildup to GoW Ragnarok, but with little to no complete satisfaction as a singular title. It nearly requires past game knowledge to fully hit the emotional marks, but also requires a sequel to fully explore it's new themes, locales and characters.

GOTY from 2018 should have been attributed to Red Dead Redemption 2 for every quality that this game gets praised for, which RDR2 did better regardless of the differing genre.

Incredible port from Nixxes and incredible game from Insomniac.

This is a very good standalone game that knows what it's trying to do when pitted against it's obviously bigger older brother from 2 years prior.

Those who are not buying this game because it seems like an overpriced DLC, wait for a good sale, this is not something to sleep on, it's genuinely good, but i agree it's a hefty price.

The classic, industry defining trilogy that managed to influence media and art as a whole for the decades to follow is back in a wonderfully packaged title that brings the Mass Effect goodness to modern devices.

All the modern bells and whistles are compatible with these old masterpieces thanks to the hard work of passionate devs who also gave us tools to mod these games to our heart's content.

For newcomers to the franchise, there has not been a better deal and better way to experience these games, i am however sorry for all of you who have and will never get to experience Mass Effect 3's barebone yet entertaining shenanigan-filled multiplayer.

The review for the base game is below this extra dedicated to this version of the game :

Metro Exodus is an already stageringly gorgeous game that utilizes advanced graphical technologies to deliver a jaw dropping experience that holds up still far into 2024.
However the Enhanced edition which comes free with the ownership of the base game is a total rework of the game's rendering systems such as lighting and reflections. Replacing every light related renderings with ray tracing, not exclusive to Nvidia this time, Metro Exodus genuinely looks ahead of its time, nearly 6 years after it's release.

Do not use this version of the game without a ray tracing capable card (RX 6000 and RTX 2000 GPU's for example)

Main review :

A once in a lifetime experience with the refinement of nearly a decade of intricate game crafting.

Metro Exodus delivers in every single front they were aiming for. Narrative, atmosphere, gameplay, visuals, optimization, everything combines into one of the greatest packages of a game to grace us.

Alongside GSC Gameworld and the Stalker franchise, Metro has been dear to my heart in a similar way and continues to impress me with every work 4A games churns out.

You will not be disapointed by the journey this game and it's expansions have to offer.

Played it for a few hours late at night, enjoyed the little i got to try.

I try to log on this morning? Constant "connecting to account" loop where it fades back to black and restarts the intro cinematic before trying to connect to account. Verifying game files, reinstalling the game, waiting for a few loops etc and etc.

Nothing works. The game is not that fun to warrant putting up with that more than half an hour.

So it turns out this really is a game to lead by example, withdrawing a bad decision after the paying customers make it clear it's not welcome, is surprisingly not something developers do in this world, and yet this studio did. Arrowhead is a good bunch, good job guys, and respects to Sony for owning up to their mistake and withdrawing.

But let this be a warning, we will be watching.

It's an ok game, definitely would've been phenomenal had it come out in 2012, but most of it's selling features feel and are outdated by design.

I think the biggest drawback is selling a space rpg fantasy but your ship is literally useless and takes maybe 2% of your entire playtime, which is insane because a big selling point of the game was literally the ship builder mode. The ship builder tool is very fun, very detailed and has lots of potential, but given that most of the game is on foot with little to no exploration being done in space, there's little to no point even using it other than periodically fighting off enemy ships for a quest of some kind.

Shame that the most interesting features the game was trying to pioneer over others in the genre were given little to no love, while the features many other titles exceed bethesda with now, were given more attention, but not innovation.

I played a dreadful 30 minutes of this game just so i could give a review.

Now don't be fooled, i'm not just reviewing the game itself, i'm reviewing the entire company since they won't release any of their other terrible products on this platform for everyone to give their very valid negative perspectives on not only the games but the studio behind them.

This company is at the forefront of workplace malpractice and customer abuse. Of the likes of Ubisoft and EA for their terrible management, poor listening skills, tone-def perspectives and impeccable harassment methods.

I leave this review for everyone to understand that the Blizzard they may have once known over 20 years ago does not exist anymore, that any shadow or window of a doubt that you may have about their terrible existence can now be cleared, do not play this game, do not buy anything in the micro-transcations store, and absolutely do not forget their abhorrent business and human practices.

I almost feel bad having to note all this, as little of the iceberg this game is of a pessimist's dream i was able to explain, because the fundamentals of the game could be a dream to play, and i can understand my young self and others for enjoying the original release in 2016, but decent gunplay and interesting mechanics cannot fix years of mishandling all of it and causing the suicide of an employee.

Fantastic work guys!

Great integration of real life elements into gameplay mechanics, great respect given to the brave men who went in that day and saved a whole world. You also gave it a wonderful style to accompany the tone of the experience.

Good job, can't wait to see what you do next!
