What a game this is. if you're looking for something super casual and relaxing, this is it. As you can see, when I was writing this review I only have about 12 hours into the game on Steam, but I've been playing it for hours on mobile and now I've decided to buy it on Steam. This game is just perfect for unwinding and forgetting about everything else. It's the perfect stress relief when life gets overwhelming.

First off, I really love the art design. The whole aesthetic is super cozy and unique, with it's charming pixel art style. It feels warm and nostalgic. The way the seasons change and how your farm evolves with them is really cool. Overall it's a vibe.

The soundtrack is nice, fitting the game's laid-back vibe perfectly. Can't say much about it. But I pretty much prefer throwing on my own playlist from Spotify while playing, nothing against it just a personal thing.

For real though, this game got me thinking "I want to retire and become a farmer." Just a peaceful life of farming and raising animals, living the dream out in the countryside. It's a slow paced game that gives you that peaceful "escape from it all" kind of vibe.

Out of all the activities you could do in this game, fishing is hands down the best for me. I can spend hours just fishing and getting that bread while my crops are growing. There's something about it that's just super satisfying. Best feature in the game lowkey. As for other activities like mining and combat, I think they are okay. Not my most favorite thing to do but I like that it's there for variety of things to do other than farming and fishing. I enjoyed getting to know the townspeople. Building relationships with them, and learning their stories adds some nice depth to the game. Giving them gifts and seeing their reactions makes the world feel more alive.

The way the game handles the changing seasons is cool. It's like real life, some crops only grow in certain seasons and there are fun little town events you can participate as the year goes by. The progression feels really balanced. There's always something to do, but It never feels like you're in a rush to get it done. I like that a lot, it keeps me engaged but still feels chill.

The amount of replayability in this game is pretty much endless. You can start a new game with different types of farms, which adds to the replayability. There are seven different farm types to choose from: standard, riverland, forest, hilltop, wilderness, four corners, and beach. Each farm has its own advantages and disadvantages, so you can really mix things up depending on your playstyle. I could imagine myself spending hundreds of hours and having many saves just trying out different farm layouts and farm types.

Stardew Valley is the perfect game if you want to just relax and enjoy yourself while listening to that lo-fi playlist. This game is something that I would play after hours of studying, just to sit back, relax and let go of all that academic stress. It's a peaceful escape into a simple life where you can farm, fish, make friends, and take things at your own pace. If your looking for a casual relaxing game then this one is worth every penny. I highly recommend it and I think the other 652,236 overwhelmingly positive reviews would agree with me.

Oh yeah I also want to mention that the fact that this game is created by ONE MAN is crazy. This man who goes by the name ConcernedApe is HIM. He definitely cooked with this one. He has inspired me to learn coding myself and someday design my own game. Goat game developer, none of that corporate AAA game bullsh*t that offers no more other than microtransactions rather than giving a game that people truly enjoys. You can tell by playing this game that this developer is very passionate about his game and put actual effort on making the game. ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
