I've seen a lot of comments about the game being repetitive and a grindfest; to be honest, if there is a grind, it's not at MMO levels.

The game itself is fun in multiplayer, it's even exciting when you join a party (or someone else joins you) due all the chaos on the battlefield. The main problems I see, that would make it less attractive to anyone are the facts that it has friendly fire (which also applies to the enemy), and that almost anything can kill you amidst the chaos.

Also, the game has basically 4 map types (snow, desert, volcanic and jungle), this sounds terrible in paper, but they are just a template to generate your mission. Basically, you can have a snow map where you have to rescue survivors, activate a communication tower and capture a zone or two, and after that it could be a mission about nuking a nest or facility, retrieving a pack and disabling some mines.

In the end, the point of the game is not to run and gun, if you stay and fight the enemies won't stop spawning until you either lose them or manage to avoid triggering any alarms while dealing with the current army. Basically, the game is more of a stealth game than a shooter, and what makes it shine is the teamplay and chaos.

The best part of this game is that it doesn't require anything but your Steam account to play it, and you can even play it local co-op offline (unlike it's sequel).
