The game is cool at first until you realize what a complete and utter slog it is. Also I am pretty sure that it runs in the background even when you exit off though it could be me. I am not sure if it is still in a beta or something but it lacks a few features. For one communicating to other players is confusing and near impossible. The game DOES have a built in way to communicate to other players in the same game as you but its laggy and unreliable. Speaking of which there is no actually chat feature to communicate to people in your game in real time only global (Which spans ALL games and ALL players. In this case its meant to be taken literally) and help chat. Help chat is actually extremely good and the player base is supportive of new players though this is not enough to redeem the awful lag times when opening diplomacy menus. there are also Alliance chat (Basically guild chat) and Coalition chat (In-game teams) which would be good however they do not actually save ANY of the conversations and instead refreshes every log-in. The game is also full of slider bugs that force you to refresh the game as if it were a phone app game (Which if you are playing from steam means closing out of the window and re-opening it via steam/launcher, yep). I played this for a few days and after a while I just felt that I wasted my time with this. My favorite part of the game was the news system. Players can manually make their own game announcements and I honestly found customizing the articles to be the most fun part of the game. This game has a good concept with a lot of love put in, but it just is not worth investing time into and definitely does not deserve to be on steam. It feels like it would be more at home on Facebook because it feels like a Zeynga game and not a stand alone. Luckly it only takes up 130MB of space for the launcher so dont feel too bad.Final word: Not worth it, invested too much and yet I still have no problems leaving it. That said this is just my experience and it won't hurt if someone tries it.
