I bought ride 4 after playing ride 1, i never played ride 2 or ride 3 so i cant compare ride 4 to those games, but compared to ride 1 this game is exponentially better. not only the graphics and sound quality, but the gameplay too, i think people dont like the fact that ride 4 is more realistic than other ride games, for example; people say the ai is terrible, well iv watched videos of ride 2 and 3, and u could basically ram into other players and not fall down which is so unrealistic and boring, and in this game u have need to be carefull when you overtake someone because unlike the other ride games, ramming into someone will actually cause you to fall down instead of just scratch them and keep going. this is why it feels so rewarding to overtake someone in this game. Another topic people complain about is the time trial penalties. if u go outside the track, chances are that, that wont be your best time anyway, so it doesnt matter if it counts or not, on the other hand if you're just trying to speedrun the game and you dont care about getting the best possible time, then dont complain about the penalties, because the game is meant to be played in such a way where you should strive to achieve the best possible time, instead of just beating the level and moving on (because that makes the game boring). All in all, i cant recommend this game enough.
