And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?
The Tree Was Bolted Right Into Thy Snow
He got out his trusty blow torch and got to work on that pesky bolt

Pop guns! And bicycles! Roller skates! Drums! Checkerboards! Tricycles! Popcorn! And plums!
And he stuffed them in bags. Then the Grinch, very nimbly,
Stuffed all the bags, one by one, up the chimbley
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more
then he thought that couldn't be right so he plopped the bag right into his sleigh Then with a thrash he went howling up the mountain right back into his cave
He plundered his loot looking for the boot ahhh there it was the majestic foot wear he o so desired The rest was fuel for the fire who all he cared so he brought out the gasoline and the mighty lighter
It went up in flames it was quite the show and it truly meet the Grinch's every desire
