When Big Time Rush (informally known as “BTR”) released their hit single ‘Big Time Rush’ written by Matthew Gerrard, Charlie Midnight, Jay Landers, and Scott Fellows, produced by Gerrard himself, they weren’t just putting lyrics and instrumentals together to make a song. No, these geniuses made art. A pure masterpiece in its rawest form of synth-pop blended with rock. Truly one of the best musical genres in our modern society. It may be only a little over 3 minutes long but what they did by releasing this song, did more for humanity than any band ever did. The fact they chose Big Time Rush (Kendall Schmidt, James Marlow, Carlos Pena Jr., and Logan Henderson) to perform this song and others was a choice that changed the lives of everyone forever. Four boys who may have never gotten the chance to become famous did. And it was the perfect decision. The way they performed the song couldn’t have been more expertly articulated. The vocals, raw guitar, soft electronic, dash of piano, and the banging of drums... Absolutely mesmerizing. And the lyrics, don’t get me started on the lyrics, folks! Nothing gets me more pumped in the morning than listening to Big Time Rush because it feels like I can face the world. They’re selfless for these lyrics. Absolutely inspiring. Their message? YOLO (You Only Live Once), so you have to go BIG TIME ! For many of us in our average lives, we settle for less when we should strive for more. Why? Big Time Rush encourages you to go out there. Take your risks. Live the life you REALLY want. You can do it. They believe in you. Have faith in yourself. They’re with you all the way. I can’t express how important Big Time Rush is for society, and how much we could process more if they were to return to the public, putting out more music to keep us moving forward. BTR could rule the world again. And we would all benefit from it. Why do I think a BTR-led dictatorship would work? Well, 4 leaders is technically a democracy if you think about it. Carlos, the anarchist. Logan, the scientist. James, the epicurean. And Kendall, the decision maker. I believe all 4 of them are a balance. After all this universe is based all around the idea of balance. Think about it... With them, we could have a perfect utopia. And not like those creepy ones in the books or films where you know something dark is lurking under that facade. No, this could be a heaven. Not an eternal heaven though, I don’t think Kendall or Logan would take part in abolishing the natural ways of life, since death is a gift and after all, “yolo” is their ideology. But perhaps Carlos and James could appeal to those afraid of death by prolonging life just a tiny bit. After all, heh, you know how James is about his physical appearance! Anyhow, Big Time Rush has done more for society than “BTS” or “Beatles”. Remember that YOLO!!!!!
