Tons of fun and grindy PvE content but the PvP is pretty trash which isn't surprising because most games that have a heavily loot based PvE system usually doesn't translate well to its PvP portion

After an additional 1,941 hours played everything I said still holds true. However, when they removed the Red War campaign (the base game campaign), along with the Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken dlc's campaigns which besides Forsaken were free at the time which made the f2p experience amazing and now with the said removal it is abysmal and cannot recommend this game to anyone just starting out as there is nothing really to do that you don't need to pay for and your not getting the full story. It'd be like throwing you into the MCU movies near the end with none of the build up before hand. it just wont land as hard as it will with veteran players who have kept up with the game since the beginning. But if a brief summary of the story up until this point is enough for you along with the incredible gameplay which this game does have then I would say give it a go for free and get the dlc's on sale as I also think their is a collection of all the dlc besides Final Shape and maybe Lightfall. But anyway still a huge recommend to me if your willing to ignore the unfortunate cut content and can get the expansions as f2p is not worth it.
