This game rests itself as one of my favorite games of all time. Regardless, the game is plagued with a major problem, namely, the ongoing bot problem. Multiple times during a round bots will invade your game, choosing the Sniper class, and proceed to rack up aim-bot assisted head shots until your team or the opposing team are nice enough to kick the bot. This does not last long though as more bots, sometimes multiple at a time, will invade your game, seemingly multiplying in volume. These bots are also able to call votes to kick against you or your teammates, leading to a player sometimes being unfairly booted from the game. This also raises another problem, as when a vote is called, another vote may not be called until the previous one expires, which prolongs the life of the bot in the match. This has been a prevalent issue for some time, one that Valve seems unable, or unwilling, to solve. This is also compounded with the fact that Valve clearly has no desire to continue servicing this game, opting instead to promote 6 v 6 Heavy punch fight tournaments and releasing only community created map/cosmetic updates. This blatant neglect only serves to add insult to injury as TF2 has been without a major update (disregarding Scream Fortresses) for around 1,150 days. I love this game, but I am not able to recommend it to anyone in this dismal state. Go play something else, feel free to come back if Valve decides to fix these problems.
