No Man’s Sky was a project ahead of it’s time when it launched. It was nothing close to the titan of a title it is today. This game provides support for some of the most advanced VR equipment out there, such as omnidirectional treadmills and locomotion sensors like KatVR for realistic running. Or full blown ship support on Yaw Pro Motion Simulator! Can be modded to work with BHaptics equipment and is one of the very best titles out there to play in VR while using Woojer products. The latest update has brought a resounding amount of bug fixes. This is easily the best VR spaceman game out there. My entire family loves it and we own 5 separate copies of it.

Yaw VR Motion Simulator Set up:

Open the Yaw VR Game Engine on your PC
Next find the direct input plugin and start it up
You will need to have a gaming joystick for this

Open Steam and right click No Man’s Sky, followed by properties
Finally open controller configuration and map your joy stick to the in game controls.

You can also utilize programs like UCR (Universal Controller Remapper) to get other joysticks or wheels to be emulated into the XBOX controller you’ll need.

Last option is easiest. Just run the Yaw Game Engine and select XBOX controller input. Run no man’s sky in VR and utilize both Locomotion VR controllers in tandem with an XBOX controller when you take to flight.

Recommended Yaw VR Telemetry settings:

Pitch backwards: 33
Pitch forwards: 26
Roll: 31
Power: 40
Lastly make sure to limit the Yaw’s rotation and bring spin down to 0/180
