10/10, would help two Eldritch beings find each other, fall in love, and walk hand in hand into the infinite cosmos, again.
Anytime.
Then suddenly in the late 2010s Star Trek came back to TV--but not how us olds were hoping it would come back. Not in the form of not one (or maybe sometimes two, overlapping each other by a season or so) show of an oldschool budget and a 20-something-episode season length...
...but rather the newschool Netflix-bingey kind of way with only _ten_ REALLY expensive episodes per season, and _several_ seperate shows on more or less at once (or at least in the same year).
It goes...let's see if I can remember...I think we had Discovery start first, then Picard? then I _think_ Lower Decks? then I THINK Prodigy and then Strange New Worlds. Yes, you read that right. Five. FIVE new Treks.
Yep.
wow.
WOW.
W O W.
The writing is consistently really good, they treat it seriously to the point where you forget it's even SUPPOSED to be a "kids' show" a lot of the time, our fave characters from "Voyager" (and I AM a Voyager fan, dammit!) essentially get a whole other season in animated form, the animation and design is consistently GORGEOUS, and holy cow, that epilogue.
THAT EPILOGUE.
I'm totally with all the reviews I've read so far--I don't care if we have to freaking crowdfund it, this underlooked masterpiece deserves another season!
