The real game comes AFTER the campaign mode.

The campaign is short and extremely easy. While the scenarios in it are cool, they're just SO short and don't live up to their potential. The Chaos Theory mode is where the actual gameplay arrives. The NPC dialogue gets pretty cringe, too. But that's just an aside.

I like the changes they've made in feeding the dinosaurs. You don't have to babysit the feeders anymore. The specific foliage each herbivore requires feels more realistic, too. The terrain requirements also add some more depth. Both of these put together make managing which species can be housed together a lot more interesting, especially since they also have specific species they tolerate or dislike and get stressed out with. When the game is fun it's really fun!

I would get this on sale. I'm assuming a whole slew of DLC will be trickled out to give it the size of a full game. I'll be waiting for those to go on sale, too. No way I'm shelling out full price for everything.
