Another great addition to the metro franchise. I can very well say that the game will be enjoyed by fans and relished by players those who will take their time to explore every nook and cranny the game has to offer. It took me 22 hours in single play-through with all the side quests, upgrade and collectibles completed, but would take around 8 hour only just to do the main objectives. From the game time perspective i wish the game was a bit longer.

The story follows after the event of the battle of D6. As usual of the series the game has an amazing story driven narrative. You will unravel backstory of your squad mates through small events in the train. The game nails the interactive moments perfectly (Won't spoil it for you these things happen in the train) that makes the characters feel alive. The narrative builds some sort emotional connection with each of the character.

The world metro looks beautiful. This time we get to see how the nuclear devastated world outside metro and Moscow looks like. The game has multiple sandbox area that you get to explore throughout the story. There's only 2 original metro area players will get to explore (prologue and end mission). To me that was kind of disappointing. The linear gameplay is slightly changed to semi open world.

There are some new weapons and better version of the previous weapons. This time weapon mods can be changed and few ammo and supplies could be made on the fly. To change loadout though you have to get to a workbench. Also there are some gear upgrades throughout the game to suit your play style.

Moral system is kind of simple compared to the previous titles. The NPC would tell you not to harm certain peoples in certain missions. Also some side quest will help to get the good moral ending. But this time you just can't finish the game without getting your hands bloody.

I don't always pre-order games nor support it but thank god i did this one, cause f*ck epic store. I really hope that epic store fails. But i won't give the game thumbs down for the developer’s stupid mistakes cause i really enjoyed the game.

I would strongly suggest metro fans to try this game (wait a year buy it on steam cause again f*ck epic store and wait for sale). The open world sandbox areas might not be everyone's cup of tea but the game still has original metro philosophy at its core.
