"Once Human" feels like a game stuck in 2013, desperately trying to keep up with modern standards, but falling miserably short on almost every front.

Let's start with the controls—they're clunky, unresponsive, and frustrating to the point of feeling like you're fighting the game itself. Every movement feels delayed, and aiming is a nightmare, making combat feel like a chore rather than something to enjoy. If you’re used to smooth, responsive controls from modern games, this will feel like a significant downgrade.

The color palette is another glaring issue. It’s dominated by two toxic colors: an overly harsh red and a blinding, cold blue. Everything feels saturated with these hues, as if someone just slapped a filter on and called it a day. There's no variety, no richness, and no subtlety in the color design. It feels like you're either wading through a sea of neon lights or trapped in a constant, aggressive warning screen. It’s visually tiring and outright ugly.

Then there’s the constant bombardment of pop-ups. The screen is a cluttered mess with endless notifications, tutorials, and in-game events all piling on top of each other. It’s a chaotic storm of information that’s more of a distraction than an actual aid. The UI feels like a cluster♥♥♥♥, and it’s impossible to focus on the game itself with all the nonsense plastered on the screen.

To make things worse, the game is littered with lingo that just doesn't stop. Whether it’s over-the-top jargon or random phrases meant to sound edgy, it feels like the game is trying too hard to impress, throwing buzzwords at you left and right. It’s like being stuck in a never-ending seminar where nothing makes sense, but the speakers think they're being clever. Honestly, it’s more annoying than immersive.

And don’t even get me started on the cutscenes. Prerendered at a laughable 480p resolution in the year 2024—are we serious? They’re grainy, outdated, and completely shatter any sense of immersion. Instead of feeling like a next-gen title, it looks like something that should have been left behind a decade ago.

In conclusion, "Once Human" is a game that feels out of place in today’s gaming landscape. The outdated visuals, poor controls, chaotic UI, and nonsensical lingo make it hard to enjoy. It might as well have been released in 2013, because it has no business existing in 2024 with such glaring issues. Save your time and money—there are far better games out there that respect your attention and deliver on modern expectations.
