This statement is actually refer to "Elimination" game mode, it is the game rule. Yes, I do know there are penalties about this game. We can discuss my mistake in my Steam Guide.
Yes, Electric car is not the only car for gate boost. Glad you read that, I was stop updating this old review due to stop playing already. Really hope that 40+ hours career gameplay allow lap boost, but it doesn't until 60+ hours, I guess. Maybe you willing to tell me.
Then, I play with a Logitech G920 and it works perfectly. Actually, in online games with console players, I'm usually the winner. It's obvious that driving games are not for gamepads.
More things: you can activate speed boosts in any type of race using the race creator, not only with electric cars. Steam says you have played for 89 hours, but it looks like you haven't played the game for more than 2 hours...
