Yoshida lost the command of his own ship, the new writer proved to be incompetent at his job. Yohida showed no signs of proper leadership to address the issue, and this probably cost them a big chunk of their loyal player base, from casual to hardcore.
Shadowbringers gave us an awesome link to Final Fantasy 1, Stormblood gave us a good continuation and closure to Ivalice, without the need to overextend with their exposure on ff14, because they knew not to touch the classics that made the series. In Dawntrail on the other hand, they made Final Fantasy 9 dirty, they sent the world to ♥♥♥♥, and the worst part is that they were not able to make anything memorable with it.
A massive new continent that looks nice, but it's empty, no real danger, no real exploration, they surely like to say the regions have a lot of culture in them, that's a lot of crap. it's the average visuals you will expect each zone to have. If I wanted to know about the npcs culture, i would go straight to the Beast Tribe quest lines. I will not even talk about that hyper tech city that sent me back to the 2000s with xenosaga and phantasy star online.
A lot of us have spent thousands of hours playing this game over a good amount of years, it angers me that I understand more about the world of 14 and its characters than the ones who wrote this crap; they made the scions feel stupid and out of character, they made the warrior of light feel like a useless hobo, villains and new heroic figures? They forgot how to make those.
I was expecting this new expansion for a long time, and I regretted every cent I spent on it till the end. This hole created in the game cannot be filled...well, maybe by two Shadowbringers at the same time, and that's a maybe.

It was a good run, but it's time to let it go. For those warriors of light who chose to go on, good luck! may hydaely-...zodiar-...whatever good you have not slain guide your way. At this point, you might as well start praying to Azem.

You know what i liked the most about the game? arriving at a sector and finding 100k destroyers doing their part in bombing the planet, after all the past circus, we are back to it.

There is some good quallity waifu matirial in here, but you have two different big bowls of meat to choose, the ultimate blonde milf that will stomp on you with a smile on her face or the extra psychotic redhead milf that will blow you to pieces with a smile on her face, and thats a problem...I WANT THEM BOTH!, devs, make it happen, i need it!, oh yeah, great game by the way, i enjoyed every bit of it, i could not play anything else till i finished, that says a lot...but really, more milfs for the dlc please.

I brainwashed my people so hard that made them believe i was jesus christ, my commands where absolute, they could not refuse to keep working picking frozen coal with their bare hands on 24 hours shifts, and if they did i just send some of my personal fanatics...i mean, guards to beat them up and maybe hang one or two :3, they believed so much in me that i got captivated, so i build them a city that could stand the final days, and it did, and all the 500 people with their 100 kids could have survived...they could have, if in the last day in the last hours, when having the reactor to maximum performance was not an option but a dire necessity, I would not have turned off the switch; and from my palace sitting on my warm throne, i carefully witness the creation of my magnum opus wish i named, "the terracotta of ice", and when the storm passed and the sunshine touched the buildings again after 7 days i just smiled, i smiled from thinking of what could pass trough the mind of the explores when they find my city, but then i remember that there was no one more, just me, then i laugh, and so everything became cold, and then only the howling of the wind remained...

Evil won and the exodus of the players has begun, ripped off every ounce of pride, dignity and coin they had, now wandering in the wastelands of cancelled mobile games, they find themselves searching for the the promise land, a place where they can spank each other on their legendary pulls all night till dawn, and get drunk on all those limitless sweet reddit posts whitout worriying about their world disappearing on a blink of an eye, or so they want to belive.

Yes, evil won and palamecia is no more, that sweet princess self slaved devoted to you is gone, that thick tasty half naked witch is gone, that cute sluty little shEt fairy is gone, those two wincest siblings are gone, thick'tola is gone, yuna is gone, tifa is gone, that dood with the big sword is gone, the "hahahahahahaha" dood is gone, the emo dood with the scar is gone, everithing is gone...and even in the end...there was no rule 34 to loock for.
Just remember
"None shall remember the names of those who do not pay", such is the ruthles reallity of the mobile industry.

And so the memories vanish, like tears in rain.




:Below is my review made one year before shutdown:

I have 600 hours wasted on this thing, so maybe that give some kind of weight to my review and be of some help to you.

-Based on loot box system
-A “multiplayer” that is an exhibition match where you sit and see some other guy melt the boss in the first turn with the best cards in the game and have a bigger wallet than you.
-A community in reddit that is full of post of people spanking each other with “I got this great pull (card), I’m so lucky” and “congrats, but I got this great pull too”, so its full of individualism and about to try to show the other that you have the biggest dingus in the game not really caring about their “awesome luck”.
-Biggest wallet wins the respect of the brainless.
-Highly addictive even when you know it’s not doing good for you, just look at me, LOOK AT ME!
-If you are curious about this “game” because you saw other ff characters somewhere in here just open youtube watch the 20 minutes of cinematics and save yourself 500 hours to spend on whatever you want.
-Even if you are a mobile gamer (hahahahahahaha), you don’t want this, you have it on your pc? .... why? nothing to see online?
-There is not even rule 34 for this, how’s that possible?

A trash "game" that will suck time from you with a promise of getting something that you don’t even know what it is and when you realize it was nothing, you will rage at yourself for being so stupid to let this into your life, I know I did.

If you like final fantasy, better play one of the originals or get ff 14 if you can and use your time in there, hell, with all that I waste in this crap I could be leading end game raids by this moment, that’s something to brag about, not having the most broken deck in this trash.
