I catch the king killing his own wife (suffocating). He sees me. I got arrested. I escape easily. Guards look like nothing's happening when I run away. And then a quest is done. I got my reward from king's wife right below his palace gates, despite, she is not there. And then I go to the king's advisor for the next quests, nobody cares I was sentenced to spend some time in prison.

A man who welcomes me first time I am to capital asks me to track down a suspicious presence (perhaps scout) coming out of the palace at night. I witness him doing a suspicious activity. It is clear he is a traiter. However, nobody cares. Then, he takes control of another bulwark, 30 levels away. Could not he be arrested any sooner?

---

I enjoy this game pretty much. Combat is excellent. NPCs attack each differently, so it is really different to fight harpies, wolves and other creatures. All of them are unique in their own way.

Shoping is well done. There is not a single place, where the best equipment is sold. Some of the traders are hidden (not saying where to avoid spoiler), others are roaming all over the map.

Quests are unique as well. Apart from two aforementioned examples, they are well-made. Once, you play hide-and-seek with a little girl, then you go shoping with her. You escort caravans, looking for evidence for the trial and many other activities. I didn't do them all, but from those I have done, only two were so strange.

Some areas are not visited mainly for quests. Challenge waits there or if you explore only, you will be handsomely rewarded with treasure. There are many secret places to look for.

---

I dislike how settings is made. You use backspace, space, enter, o, x. A mouse can do just little. I usually set everything by mouse, nor keyboard, so it confuses me. I still also don't understand a few things. There is a Wiki for most though.

Voice choice for your hero and pawn... you can play a record of their screaming only, which says a little about the actual voice. (you can change it later in a secret shop)

9/10

---

This game has its negative sides, but all new action RPGs can learn a lot from it. Game experience overall is 9/10 for settings and a stupid quest (first one).

The game is very interesting and can be played sparingly. It is just early acess, so I ignore these graphic glitches, which occur and I like the rest. But it is not going to be my favourite.

However, give it a kick! One match lasts a minute and it is downloaded quickly.

I like the game. I love trading and pressuming inflation / devaluation in this game. I enjoy fighting challenging deities and leaders. Harvesting and crafting. Diplomacy in-between guilds. Fair system with very very low advantage for those who pay. Communication and recruting new players. Exploring maps and figuring out the best way to find or steal treasures. Friendly (but stubborn design lead - Ozymandias) developers. Preparing for each patch, which delivers something new. Funny name changes devs do (Baby Shocker, Legendary Crown (for a common item), Post-toilet Huppo). Cooperation on the guild quests. Well-chosen music. Doing some levels and then realizing you want to change your group composition and put in different fighters. Hardcore and non-hardcore syngergy.

---

Yet, I don't see myself continuing playing after a lot of time invested. And that is not only all shown on Steam. I started weeks before release. I stop because of two following reasons:

1. Lack of challenge. My group is very-well equiped. They all are ascended once. I am able to beat any AI-played group without casualities in many cases. I was able to lead two guilds, one of them founded by me. My collection of titles is very filled.

I didn't win the game. 10 ascends are before me and then, I will still be able to use my fighters for pvp. But it's a grind and could take about 4000 hours.

So is crafting. You need that much ressources you will never have enough of. Except if you are point 2.

2. Kickstarter conservative nobles. I had some ideas how to make hardcore warriors playable. They are not played at all, because you loose too much on death, therefore, pvp is too risky. Nobody buys them and some people stopped playing completely on death. My ideas were progressive concerning pvp aspect that was about to be added. Decreasing greatly the loss on death and making it a percent amount from the exps to the new level.

My second idea was about guilds. It is incredibly hard to found a guild, because you need lvl 20 non-hardcore warriors to guard it, and many players who can move them. This takes time and makes people avoid ascending, so they are still pvp-capable. This system is bad, because new players interested in politics or even old ones if they are alone can't have a guild. Guild encourages friendly factor especially if you play with people you know. The time to needed catch up old guilds would be incredibly high and tiring. My idea was to set guild raids to a level of map, where guild hall is deployed. Everyone would be able to guard well and there would likely be more guilds deployed somewhere else than next to each other in the lvl 22 area.

Both suggestions were to improve game for beginners. Though, rejected by the eldest players. They will not gave up their grind for a good. Perhaps, they would be close to second / third ascend if they didn't stay lvl 20 without ascending. Perhaps, they would prefer playing hardcore if it is changed from 'insane' to actually 'hardcore'. And some say 'Ozy always decided on favor of new players.'

This keeps game backward, because devs can't go directly against their most supportive group, which fund every of their games (Spellbook supporters are permanent community lasting years).

Second problem with them is that their contribution on kickstarter gives an advantage. Devs do everything they can to avoid p2w element, but they can't set silver prices to fit everybody. Those who had two kickstarter account can buy ressources for a high price and craft legendary items in a week. They have non-human fighters, which is advantage, but minor. They were given strong armor, some of them still have it. And most importantly - silver. This abundance can't be reached throw playing easily and you will never have that much for crafting you would need. It's generally impossible to take away silver from them, drops are so low when scrapped. And they reject ideas, which would adapt the game more in favor of new players or just those interested in hardcore.

---

These problems were just major ones. Apart from them, I really recommend this game. Trying to figure out how stuff works, what is the best fighting class combination for 3v3, 6v6, 9v9 and 12v12. Economy. It's fun. But it's not a game to play every day and compete with others, who contributed kickstarter. You really can become competitive, but it takes so much time. So much time...

As long as it is alpha version, I can recommend it. But if it was released in this state, I wouldn't. The game is free to play instead of free, so I am not sure why Steam says that.

I like the game as a concept. But it needs some deep gameplay. It is only about how fast you turn your mouse at the moment.

This team is 8000 years old. Do not be fooled, they are not outdated. I love how this team forces me to use strategy. You have got 4* times 5 strength Mummy. But you have to use it right. If it gets blocked by one other player, it is not correct. In a perfect match, one Mummy will amuse up to 3 players. Rest of your team is very mobile but fragile and struggles to pick up the ball.

1 brick roll result for Khemri is 6/6

The game disappointed my expectations. Animations are not always well-polished. Skill trees are more bargain than fun. You have some choice there, but it matters not. You either strengthen your army or learn spells and all spells do the same, they just have a different visual effect. Their miniature is not well-readable, all are so small and the same color, same shape, same background, therefore, I say magic is done badly too. The game lacks many components other Total Wars had and which were great. No settlement battles (need to use workshop), no inner politics.

What matters most is replayability. I remember myself playing Total War: Rome II. I playing for Getae again and again. Once, I attacked Scordishi, other time, I attacked Tribalii and so on. There were many possibilities how to actually develop your empire, how to expand, how to govern, who to negotiate with. It all is more or less minimized or completely removed from Warhammer.

For example, all dwarves usually have equal opinion of you and reject to negotiate. Maybe one tribe will agree to some terms. In Rome II, Hellenic factions were warring each other and the sides were always different. So each time you started, you could ally with someone else or not to ally at all. This was one, this was green for replayability. In Warhammer, you usually have to repeat same actions for sucess or similar ones.

Don't take me wrong. I support further development of fantasy Total Wars. But this one really failed for me, and a player should never have to rely on Workshop to just get core elements in (minor settlement battles, Greenskins X Dwarves balancing and other). Miniatures of spells can not be readed and it even does not matter, which one you choose. If it isn't a buff, it will be a damage spell. Animation doesn't matter much. But for strategic use of buffs, it is necessary to have some diversity and comfortable managment of it all. Two other fantasy Total Wars will have to learn from this. Or players will learn from this one's failure.

On top of it all, I just want to mention Denuvo. I see why they needed it. If anyone played it cracked, he wouldn't buy it. There is no other reason to pay for protection, people sometimes play pirated games just to try them if they would like to buy it later. Denuvo itself kept Steam thinking I still play the game when it was off (I assume it was Denuvo).

There are also a few POSITIVE things. I really like the unique gameplay of all factions. One gets bonus armies when it fights a lot, the other's economy stands upon peasants shoulders, Empire can assign ministers, armourers and other national functions to its generals and some don't even use settlements.

I bought it from Humble Bundle for $12. I wouldn't buy it for more than that. Yet, I am still looking forward the next chapters if developers make it as amazing as I expected it to be.

I liked the game, but it is not the kind I would return to. Not much thinking is required...

But it is one of those fair free-to-play games, which doesn't provide advantages to paying players. So I recommend to try it if the title seems interesting. Only 2Gb

I've played this game out of Steam for quite a while. It reminds me famous days of Robocraft, except all of us are flyers. As it is beta, many elements are not done properly or at all. I like it anyway.

Robocraft was destroyed by a greed of American Developers. Junk League is developed by a friendly independent team from Slovakia. It is pretty funny they made a mistake when translating the game into my mother language (Czech), which is almost same one (Slovakian developed from the Czech). It was saying that team with more -victories- will -win- the game. I didn't know they are Slovakians and I wrote it all English. They replied politely and friendly in Slovakian. I immediately realized it is a good team which will not ♥♥♥♥ the game like Robocraft. There is no either lack of communication or no respect towards community. All is good.

Game itself differs in many ways to Robocraft. First, it happens in an are without gravitation and we all are flyers. But there are still differences between classes. Some of them are slow and strong, others are quick and fragile.

Second, ships are divided in classes with multiple skills. These come in handy when you need to fight, tank, escape or do something else you wanna do. They all have different weight and armor of boxes resulting in additional speed or durability overall.

Third, you do have unlimited amount of bricks once you research them. This is extremely positive as you are not annoyed by buying more and more stuff as you progress each time, you are allowed to use additional CPU.

Fourth, most of the buy-able items are just cosmetics or boosters. They either have just visual effects or add income to the whole team (bigger to the owner). Buying a victory with real money is not possible.

Fifth, you are not supposed to destroy towers. The goal is to fight others and perhaps, there will be other mods. But mainly, a goal is to destroy as much enemy ships as possible. This is good thing, I have never heard of anyone liking destroying Robocraft towers.

Hopefully, I told you about some of the major differences and made you trust Slovakian developers. The review wouldn't be complete if I didn't write anything about incomplete features. The problem is I am not introduced to these much. I wish more abilities, weapons to come in as well as properly made collisions. Your ship cannot turn upside down, so the rotation may be added later.

I really recommend to get this game on to your wishlist or try it yourself immediately. From all the games I've played, this one is the best substritute for Robocraft and its potential is so big it may become a lot better one day. Really, developers learnt from mistakes of Robocraft and added their own ideas creating a stunningly new experience with Galactic Junk League. And I believe, this would become a new BOSS if all of the former RC players supported this. Give it a shoot.

It plays great. Original and good card-game. It comes with completely new mechanics and I really like it. It worths trying for every lover of turn-based strategies as well as of card-games. I just worry if payers can get a real advantage or not.

EDIT: They have a massive advantage.

The game really delivers what it promises. And with consideration of the fierce competition on the market, I believe a price is not that high (wait for a discount).

Apart from all positive sides, I really love the humour of the game. They are trying to parody the most recent trends like Game of Gnomes or a Doctor Flu who travells throughout the history to infect EVERYBODY. If real commentators were like that, I would be watching football or boxing now.
