After being introduced to this game slightly over 2 years ago, this game has worked its way to the top of my most played games list. This game never ceases to amaze me with how enjoyable missions continue to be after hundreds of successful extractions. The mission variety is solid and the weapons feel incredible to use; they are MASSIVELY customisable, both cosmetically and functionally. Each class fulfils a specific role that is plenty competent alone, but meshes with the other dwarves co-operatively in such a perfect manner.

The aspect of this game that I have to give the highest praise to, despite how much I love the gameplay, is the community of Deep Rock Galactic, both players and developers. I have never witnessed, let alone felt a part of, such an encouraging and lovely gaming community. Toxicity is rare, support is plentiful. Many experienced players, rather than dread having to play with someone that has less than 1/10th their hours and kick them, instead relish the opportunity to show said Greenbeards the ropes, not shaming them for downing or making mistakes.

Ghost Ship Games are far and a way my favourite developers, as well as the developers I have the most respect for in an industry where plethoras of microtransactions and paywalling are so common. GSG give sizable, *free* content updates in the form of a new season roughly every half a year. The performance pass system that debuted in Season 1 is completely free, and loot from the performance pass moves to regular loot tables and the shop after the season ends, so no FOMO. The only things that can only be obtained through paid DLC are some select cosmetic items, which are intended as a way to support the developers first and foremost. I personally think on the whole the DLC cosmetics look fantastic, but I am happy to purchase the DLC purely to support the developers even if I'm not keen on the cosmetics anyway (for example, Dawn of the Dread is not my favourite set of cosmetics, but I still own it). They are a studio who regularly interact with players, listen to feedback and make adjustments where needed, and are possibly one of the least profit-driven studios in the gaming industry today.

After so many hours and promotions, I am gradually whittling down the number of things I have left to unlock in the shop, and through cosmetic cores. Does that mean I'm going to stop playing when I've unlocked all there is to unlock? Absolutely not. This is a game I truly love. And with such an engaging and fun game, married with one of the best online communities, I don't need unlocks to truly feel satisfied. With that said, Ghost Ship Games won't be leaving things here. There are more seasons to come, more content to be added, more bugs to be squished, and more rocks to be stoned. Greenbeard, Greybeard, all are welcome.

Management salutes us all. Rock and Stone, miners.
