In my opinion everyone who is recently obsessed with rogue-likes should have played this game atleast once in their life, even if it's just for 8-10 hours, they sheer amount of different "builds" is what can make you get hooked to this game.

The bosses are challenging but fun, "monstro" can get very repetitive after a couple of hundreds of hours of gameplay, because of his chonky health bar and him being an early game/stage boss but anything besides that beast I can't recall any boss that got comparably annoying and there are plenty of them, amazing design.

The artstyle is depressing but fun (hard to explain). The "gun-play" is easy to learn hard to master and the vast majority of different items, trinkets and secrets can get a little overwhelming, aswell as the amount of unlockable characters, different endings and "final bosses" but it keeps the game so much more interesting and fun, the story is kind of intriguing aswell, it's pretty dark (who would have thought).

I have trouble describing the amount of love I've got for this soundtrack, it surpassed the minecraft soundtrack for me personally many times. Give it a try whenever it's on sell and I would even argue that you don't need any DLCS for your first hundred hours of fun. (9.8/10)

[no 10/10 review for the time I've wasted on dead runs and more importantly because of the "afterbirth+" dlc, which was overpriced and lacked in good content, some might even argue the new additions made the game worse]
