I'm not sure how much of the game is left. I got to stage 4 and honestly, if there was only one more stage half as epic as stage 3, I would feel the cost is fair, even though there's the rule of 7 for shmups. And yeah, if you like shmups, this has a little of everything. A continue system that grows along with your skill to take on greater and greater challenges, gameplay mechanics lovingly lifted from some shmup greats, and a killer soundtrack (of course). I don't know much about the story yet, but I've heard it's really good. Definitely worth picking up!

10/10 A Perfect Game
I know it says I've played this game for 3 hours, but I also put in about 80 on the Switch. I bought the digital version on Switch, the physical version on Switch, and the Steam version. The only games I've bought more times are probably Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI.
This game is a perfect difficult Platformer. If you like that genre at all, this is pretty much a must-buy. In true Mario fashion, the controls feel excellent and the main game can be enjoyed with a little hard work. Mastery of all the bonus stuff is where this game gets truly difficult.
The story centers around mental illness and I won't give it away, but it is a much more realistic portrayal of what struggling with it is like than any other media I've encountered.
The music is really excellent, the gameplay is stellar, the speedrunning community is one of the biggest. I really can't recommend it enough.

The soundtrack, the story, the characters, the battle system, all so excellent. I've taken a break for a long while, but I put a lot of time into this short RPG. If you like classic JRPGs, it's a must.

I'm completely new to the series but I'm already in love. The game is way too hard for me and I feel like it's vague about objectives sometimes, but it's just a joy to experience. My computer runs pretty poorly for a lot of games, but it handles this game at medium settings like a breeze. Can't wait to go back and try the older games in the series!

Phew, that was honestly a challenge for me, even on easy, but I got through the whole campaign and have been playing a ton of games on multiplayer. This is now one of my very favorite games. I loved the whole game front to back and can't wait to challenge it on higher difficulties!

What I've played so far, I've loved. The dungeons are kinda boring to look at but navigating them and fighting monsters are a lot of fun. Some of the most enjoyable JRPG combat I've experienced since Xenogears. The music is extremely catchy and cool. Easily worth the $20! I understand there's some homophobia and transphobia later in the game, which is unfortunate, but something I'm sadly used to, especially as an avid consumer of Japanese media.

I absolutely love this game. Great soundtrack, cute visuals, and really just amazingly brilliant gameplay mechanics. It eases you in, but offers a real challenge at higher levels and really makes you think about every move. With Roguelite elements and plenty of content, you can easily spend enough time to warrant the $15.

Love this game so much! The Pointdevice system is probably my favorite Touhou gameplay mechanic gimmick. It really forces you to master the whole game and ration your bombs more carefully. Even though it's a much tougher Touhou experience, I feel like it would be a great entry point into the series for gamers who enjoy ultra-hard checkpoint-based games like I Wanna Be The Guy and Celeste.

It's Touhou. If you like Touhou, you'll like this one too. I know some people aren't into the animal spirit mechanic, but I found it to be a lot of fun. The music is, of course, excellent.

Early access review: Short but extremely sweet, this demo is pretty much everything I could ask for in a Metroidvania. There are a ton of interesting gameplay mechanics and you really need to utilize them all, but it never feels overwhelming. It’s absolutely gorgeous and a ton of fun. My only concern is it took me about 45 minutes to class and this is supposed to be the first stage of 6, making this a potentially very short game. Still, if it maintains this level of quality, it’ll easily be worth the $12 price point.

Having jumped on after the new patch, I have to say I'm really pleased. Chrono Trigger is my very favorite game, so having a good port on PC is great. Maybe on the next patch, we can use the original English translation?
