Is it just me or does the RNG in this game really not seem very RNG? i am pretty sure the game cheats you very often

Having to toss away items you grabbed each fight means youre constantly ruin any build you might have coooked up. (which is half the fun of roguelikes). Theres got to be some way to balance it so its still fun and unique.

I love this game and with all due respect to the devs- I refuse to believe Witch Bonus Round on Hard Mode was playtested and beaten by anyone on the team. That 2.1% of players who have the achievement for beating all the hard bonus rounds either hacked the achievement or live the most blessed luck-filled lives ever conceived. The Witch is just too weak and it doesn't help that her starting equipment on hard mode always starts her off with super weak borderline useless skills like Flower Pot and Daffodil. I...

Normally, I'm a fan of this developer's games, as they are usually extremely tight and creative experiences. Dicey Dungeons nails the creativity aspect, and does a great job at changing things up, perhaps more so than any other game I've played like it. But as much as I want to like it, the balance is terrible. Absolutely atrocious. Unforgivably bad. Most roguelites have that one impossible joke character, is she it? I'm not seeing much indication besides her being a wannabe influencer. But she's really terrible. The idea is novel, but executed with the grace of a hippo.
