The review isn't much about the game itself, more about the content to pay AFTER buying the game.

Base game : 70€

DLC char : 8€ x 4 (per year) = 32€ (cheaper if you pay for the whole season in advance without knowing wich char will be release) only way for you to lab those DLC char that have been known to be too powerful on release in T7.

Season Pass : 6€ for ~2 months (we can imagine it will be 4/years so add 24€) allow you to unlock extra reward from playing, the game will make sure to remind you about it with popup notification every session and gained level, playing a FOMO mindgame with you.

Tekken shop : Skins for 4€ /pieces for either unique costume of a char that was available for free in T7, reuse the asset of previous games (all the way from T6) or shared costume among all men OR women (same price 24 male or 9 female). should I add that any unique costume can't be use in separated pieces like in any others tekken games, limiting even more the possibility of unique customization ?
2 months after release it is currently at 56€ worth of skins.

The game itself, to be taken seriously, labbing DLC will cost you 102€ (+ a yearly subscription of 32€)
The season pass will always popup at your screen to remind you what you're missing
The Shop is only here to fill the void left by the free customization that is almost empty, removing all the legacy costume from previous games that were available on T7 for free.
S/o to all the bans and copyright claim of all the modders 2days before the release of the shop (funny how effective Bamco is when it's about money, after 8 years of not being able to deal with cheaters and pluggers).

for fun, the game cost 182€ for the first year if you want everything in it (just give yourself an extra envelop of ~150€ of skins during the year at this pace).

Gameplay wise, balance is broken atm (game is only few months old so whatever), hurtbox bugs are still there since T7, combo damage are higher than ever, 50/50 everywhere, pressing button is the only valid way, gimmicks stronk labbing those is absolutely mandatory even more than T7.
quick match is linked to your "prowess" so if you don't want to play in rank, too bad you have to, otherwise you will match up (FT2 ONLY even in quick match) only against beginner, the game will prefer to find you opponent at "4 bars" wifi 20 times in a row rather than giving you a 20ms guy because he's 5 rank above you.
Adding people in your friendlist is also a nightmare, you have to do a 22 steps process back in the menu to find your "recently played with" list.

Nothing to stop people playing with a potato PC with 15fps, so expect some powerpoint gameplay here and there.
Still no option to DRASTICALLY lower all the particules effects, playing against hitburst, aura, sparkles, explosions ... Michael Bay meet DBZ.

Tl:Dr : Bamco just miss the lootbox to complete the bingo of greedy company and if you consider getting it to play it with casual friends, known that Eddy will cost you an extra 8€ (they always want to play Eddy, so unfortunate he didn't made it to the base roaster but instead the first DLC available).
